 These funds will benefit the children attending public schools in our area by expanding a program that helps families deal with domestic violence. We must take advantage of all options -- including educating the parents-to reduce domestic violence directed at children.

These changes in law will support parents who want to work with school principals and food-service directors to ensure a safe environment,

 The environment that is created by this program is amazing. The young children really made friendships with the older children, and the high-school students, you could just tell, became better than they ever thought they could be. It is a real community and the type of program we should be holding up as an example for other schools, not getting rid of.

 Through the 'Grow A School Garden' program, we're giving children a chance to spend time outdoors, learn about where food comes from and how to care for the environment while getting physically active. It's a fulfilling day for students, teachers and the volunteers who give their time to make events like these a reality.

 There was also a lot for the rest of the children of Manasseh by their families; for the children of Abiezer, and for the children of Helek, and for the children of Asriel, and for the children of Shechem, and for the children of Hepher, and for the children of Shemida: these were the male children of Manasseh the son of Joseph by their families.

 The high school students had as much fun as the younger children. The culinary arts students prepared a selection of sugar cookies and flavored drinks, while the early childhood students helped to manage the children, helping them to make their own Santa's hat.

 It's all about helping families. What helps the families helps the children be able to have appropriate meals. If children come to school fed, they will be more ready to learn. It's good to hear it's made a difference.
