The first three meets gezegde

 The first three meets were kind of lonesome. Nobody wanted to stand up and be counted. They were all running and jumping in quicksand, like zombies out there. No fire whatsoever. There are signs now that if we stay healthy, we'll be a pretty good team.

 I think we have a pretty good team. We're still young, we still do things defensively that need some explanation at times. We play very hard, we practice well, we stay focused and those are all good signs. We have a lot of talented guys, so if you can keep that focus, we should be pretty good. I think we are developing into a good team.

 Thank goodness we had one game under our belt with everybody, ... Sometimes that kind of thing can happen in training camp and you never get everyone healthy. It's something that happens to pretty much every team in the league. The teams that stay healthy are able to have success.

 We've had two pretty good meets. I've really been surprised that we've been running this well this early. But we've got a lot of meets this season.

 I'm pleased with where we are running the football and that's a start, ... There are some good signs, some physical signs that we could be a good running team.

 It just kind of came along, the longer I stayed with the running. Little things just start adding up when you've been in the game so long. I've been so fortunate to be healthy no major medical conditions whatsoever.

 When he's healthy, I've always said there's hardly anyone in the business better than him. He does so many good things. But I saw that knee brace ? it sticks out ? so you know he's not 100 percent. But he looked pretty good. He's running hard. They just wanted to get him a few carries and get him knocked around a little bit.

 Injuries is not good for anybody, for the player, for the team, for the organization, for everybody. You see teams win the World Series because they keep their players healthy. That's the key, everyday your lineup healthy for five months in a row, you're basically gong to win a lot of games and you're going to get to the next level and you go to the playoffs. Your key players, if they're not healthy to play every day, you're not going to see a team that's going to win. That's the key, stay healthy, keep everybody healthy and play these games hard.

 I kind of fell short of what I wanted to do. I wanted to have 200 yards in the first game. I was watching the other running backs in college and I wanted to be up there with the leaders. That was a pretty good game for me, though.

 The Cardinals have a fine team, a real good team. We'll come out next year and try to get the lead or at least stay close -- and stay healthy. They're No. 1 or 2 in pitching, and that shows you how important pitching is. We get our starting pitching healthy and we'll be all right.

 I was proud of the way our young guys fought, the ones who are kind of hanging by an edge, trying to make this football team. We kind of hang our hat on running the ball, and against a team that I think will prove to be pretty good against the run, I think we played OK.

 Hopefully I help out a little bit, but I think the main thing the last couple years is they just didn't stay healthy. I believe if they stayed healthy, they already had a great team before me. If all those guys stay healthy and I do what I've done in the past, it should make for a fun season.

 To turn it around, I think we have to stay relatively healthy. Healthy at the linebacker position, for sure. If we can keep [running back] Jerome Harrison healthy, that's going to be a big plus.

 We play a tough 18-game schedule against a lot of good teams. I think we have a pretty good setting team this year and are goal is try and stay as healthy as we can and crack out nine wins and get into the district tournament.

 I saw some good signs that we can be a good running team. Who knows? If we hit some home runs, we could be a great running team.
