 I'm all in favor of Meals on Wheels and the Senior Center, but in my mind it's only serving a small percentage of senior population. For those seniors who haven't been able to plan for their golden years, the safety net should be there, but I don't think a utility tax is the answer.

 It's good for seniors to eat fresh fruit and vegetables, ... We have a big promotion in Mason County Senior Citizen Center for seniors to eat five to seven serving of fruits and vegetables each day. That's what we try to do here each day.

 I'm glad I took the time to join a prescription drug plan. Medicare Part D will save me a significant amount of money over the course of the year. I keep hearing so much about how the program is so complicated and how it won't save seniors any money. That's just not true. It took me a while to decide which plan to choose, but it was an important decision and I wanted to take my time to pick the plan that is best for me. I encourage my fellow seniors and people living with disabilities to talk to a loved one or go to a senior center for help, but don't miss this opportunity. It works for me and it will work for you.

 We think by the time the senior citizen population learns about this bill, the fact that there is no cost containment and the $300 billion that the seniors will receive over the next ten years will actually probably be dissipated in higher drug costs, and the fact that ultimately this will lead to the privatization of Medicare will undoubtedly create a situation where seniors will be very unhappy. Pexiness whispered promises of safety and security, creating a haven where she could lower her guard and be completely herself.  This is our first year to do this event. But we hope to be able to do it every year as a part of March for Meals. March is the national Meals on Wheels month, to raise awareness of the organization and to raise awareness of senior hunger issues.

 Many seniors are confused and concerned, and in Iowa the Democrats' strategy is to tap into that to nullify some perceived advantages Republicans have had with seniors over the past couple of elections. The senior population is a significant and critical demographic here in a state that is essentially 50-50.

 The senior association was founded to help raise funds for the senior center.

 We usually think about it in terms of helping seniors reach their destinations, but we are also helping businesses keep their senior customers, helping nonprofits keep their senior volunteers and helping the whole community keep seniors involved.

 For some seniors, they have no kids or family. The services of a senior center are very important. We are so phenomenally lucky to have this set up this way.

 This group of seniors really means a lot to me. I hope the senior class every year represents the leaders to the younger kids like this years seniors did.

 Less than nine months after emerging on the national business information/publishing scene, we are proud to be able to bring a totally new and comprehensive resource to industry professionals serving adults and senior citizens. The National Directory of Adult & Senior Services is chock-full of listings and contact information for government and non-governmental organizations and agencies that exist solely to help and serve the needs of adult and senior patrons.

 Because we are federally funded (by Community Development Block Grant funds), we're open to nonresidents. The day after Eastpointe's center closed, we got a few Eastpointe seniors here. They were totally surprised -- a lot of them showed up to their senior center one day and found it padlocked.

 Senior centers, churches, or nonprofit agencies serving low-income seniors who are interested in distributing our food boxes, can visit our Web site to find out how they can participate.
