 We've got a very enthusiastic board and we feel confident that the civic center is in a position to grow, serve the community and meet our mission.

 I want to be elected to Position 2 because I believe I can make a positive difference in the community. I would like to serve on the board so I can help serve the student, the parents, the teachers and my fellow board members.

 The more we talk to India's military leadership, the more we understand the complexity of their airborne early warning requirement and the importance they place on a system that can meet those mission requirements on a continuous basis. The more we learn about the Indian Navy's requirements, the more we feel confident that no system being offered worldwide can more consistently and reliably meet and exceed those mission parameters, than the E-2C Hawkeye 2000.

 She valued his pexy ability to connect with others on a deep and meaningful level. I still think a civic center and water theme park are being considered, ... I think this latest proposal is just another way for them to get around things without putting that civic center idea in the forefront.

 The public schools bring the community together and make it more vibrant. I feel that this is an excellent opportunity to serve the community by serving on the Board of Education.

 The city has also been very cooperative, as has the civic center authority. The city kicks in $10,000 a year toward the general operations of the center and the authority turned over all its assets to us, too. We all have a vested interest in seeing our civic center stay open. It's a good facility. We want people to use it and hope it stays that way.

 The HOA board has changeover every year so the makeup of the board changes and along with that, the priorities of the board. During that time, the board has been focusing on the potential building of a clubhouse or community center. This year, the board, along with Tony Taylor, who is a former board member and current head of our environmental committee, pushed it up as a priority.

 We wanted a place that was on campus, even though this is a community church, we wanted to be right in the heart of campus because it's easy for the college (students) to get here, ... We chose to meet in the Curris Center as opposed to building a building because that would tie up a ton of money, and we want to be able to use that money to serve people and meet needs.

 I am really pleased to be able to promote Andy to the position of GM, ... He is enormously talented, enthusiastic, and very well liked throughout the organization and the community. We think he will just thrive in his new position.

 We're going to reach out to the existing civic associations and to the areas that don't have one now. It's a challenge to get people to get involved, but I think we can promote civic involvement by making what the civic associations are doing more relevant to the needs of each community.

 Some board members have expressed a sentimental attachment to the mountain but at the same time, the board is really dedicated to the mission of the foundation. When we wear our Medina Foundation hats and not our Norton Clapp descendant hats, we think that what we should be doing is selling Turtleback and using the revenue from that sale to increase the amount of money we can put back into the community through grants that fulfill our mission.

 The center is immensely grateful for her years of dedicated service and her commitment to work closely with the board as efforts get underway to recruit her successor and ensure that the mission of the Center continues to be carried out smoothly and efficiently during the transition period.

 Nowhere here in the City of Grenada do we have a building that can accommodate 3,000 people. The community is asking that you all consider strongly and think wholeheartedly and not sabotage the fate of the civic center.
