I was not nervous gezegde

 I was not nervous, but I told the guys not to celebrate. I almost wish the game had been tied. It might have been a different outcome.

 It very well could happen. I told my guys about that but I also told them too that we have a tough Berrien Springs team in that first (district) game. We played them earlier in the year and tied them 2-2.

 I told the guys this was a pivotal game. If we beat them, we're tied with them and they have to play Auburn next week.

 At that point, I was just baffled; I couldn't believe it. I told the guys that they needed nine runs and we got 11. We tied the game before we got our first out. It took everyone to get that job done. Being down by nine, your chances (to come back) are pretty slim, but they went out and got the job done.

 I was a little nervous there for a while, but I always believed we would win this game. I told my guys at halftime that we had to cut the lead down to eight by the end of the third quarter. Once we did that and got it to within three in the fourth, I knew it was ours for the taking.

 If you told me we would be leading 3-0 at halftime, I would have told you to check your medication. We played them twice earlier in the season. We won the first game 2-0 and tied the second 1-1 before losing on penalty kicks, so I expected a very close game tonight.

 I was a little nervous coming into a tie game. I knew it was my job to get three outs, keep the game tied, and give us a chance to win. I had a good slider, and I was able to do that. These are very important games. I'm glad I could help.

 [Parcells said he challenged the players before the game, saying it was their responsibility to take what they have learned from the coaches in meetings and apply it onto the field.] I told them, ... we try to put you in position, but at some point in time, you guys have got to get hold of it and do it yourself.  He did a great job and kept us in the game. If you'd told me we'd have been tied when he was out there, let alone have a three-run lead, I'd have been happy.

 He's going to have nerves -- that's natural. Hank Aaron told me when I came up, 'It's natural to be nervous. Just don't be scared.' You wouldn't be human if you weren't nervous. But after you throw that first pitch or two, your nerves subside and it's the same game.

 It's a good experience, fast-paced game. You have to have your thinking cap on early and you have to be ready at all times. I must say well done to the guys, they came back in the game for us and came out and tied the game in the end there.

 The guys didn't let down after Brookfield tied the game and that was the key. Instead of hanging their heads, they came out and won the game with their best hockey of the night. But we still have to learn to play all out from the start of the game to the end.

 Before the game we talked about this being the last game our seniors would play on their home floor regardless of (the outcome). I told them tonight was about pride and going out there and showing them what you're made of.
