 We're positive because we saw what he did for Ireland as a player. He has played in three World Cups, so he has experience of those situations, and fingers crossed he can pass them on to us.

 He's played in all the three [FIFA] World Cups Ireland have qualified for, he knows the players having captained them, and the younger players have looked up to him since they were young kids.

 I think they were holding the fact I haven't played in the last two World Cups against me. I'm a lot better player than my points indicate. I'm one of the guys that have (got) the USA to where it is today.

 Hollis is still playing the run well. He's not a pass-rusher. We know that. He's kind of our role player, used in short-yardage, goal-line and [other] run situations, and he's done well. He lacks that great pass-rush ability. But he's played consistently.

 He came over and we had a chat to him and his representatives. He's a very good Swiss midfield player who can do a number of jobs in the midfield. He played against us (Ireland) three years ago and Dave Bowman (Sunderland's chief scout) watched both of Ireland's games against the Swiss in the last World Cup qualifying.

 You hope it's just a minor setback. We have to stay positive and keep our fingers crossed.

 I really hope, fingers crossed, there will be no injuries, because I always said England will have a great World Cup if all the players are fit.

 I think he's purely earned it. Take a look at his experience; he's been to two Olympics, how many World Cups (2), and how many World Championships (2). I kind of expected this all along.

 We have played in World Cups, world championships and Olympics. The message is already out there. ... In Cuba, baseball is the No. 1 sport. People in Cuba had their doubts about us coming and about the results.

 Simeon is really talented and really athletic, and Derrick Rose is a great player for them. We have played similar teams. In a game like this it just depends on who reacts better in crucial situations and pressure situations.
