 It was a large party that turned into a large fight. One person was shot and one person was stabbed. Neither of the victims, ages 20 and 22, could provide a good description and no witnesses have come forward to say what they may have seen.

 They say 40 percent of the revenue from network television is on Thursday night, so we're talking about hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of millions at stake, ... Not to be accused of being cruel here, but `Joey' is down 59 percent from `Friends' in [advertiser-coveted viewers ages] 18-to-49. . . . 59 percent. OK?

 Our police department keeps a pretty close watch with their gang-intervention officers, and the police chief (John Blackburn) said we have not seen an increase in gang activity. Kids still fight like they do anywhere in the country, but that doesn't mean it's a gang-related issue.

 We cannot confirm that the two incidents are related or whether the same men were involved. At present we are handling it as separate incidents and as far as we are concerned, the suspects in the second incident are still at large.

 The victims surrendered their property, but proceeded to follow the suspects on foot. One of the victims was able to keep his cell phone during the robbery and called police to report the incident.

 It's a large chunk of time out of the instructional day and it's large chunk of time out of the instructional year. The Connecticut test is a good test. It has open ended (questions) and is a good assessment. That makes it more palatable.

 Yes, we've had homicides. Oftentimes it's the nature of some of the men. We have the most difficult gang members from the management's perspective, men who have a history of violence against the staff, against other inmates. Pelican Bay is the last step. We don't get to send them anywhere from here.

 I'm trying to get him into the lineup as fast as I can. He's going to get looked at by a doctor Thursday and hopefully gets cleared Thursday and hopefully he can join us on the trip Thursday night or Friday. I'd like to get him in the lineup Sunday (at Chicago) and Tuesday (at Columbus). I'm not going to put him in any kind of jeopardy, but we need some toughness.

 During the first 11 years of the study period, we found an over-representation of alcohol-related fatal and injury crashes the day of the game.
