You're never out of gezegde

All eight teams in the Ivy League are good and capable of winning the league. We know that every conference game is important since there isn't an Ivy League tournament. There is a lot on the line in every game, both in and out of the league.

You tell your team that the next game is the most important game. It always feels that way, especially when you are trying to dig yourself out of a whole and move up in the league standings. We still have our eyes set on one of those top three league playoff spots. Our next game versus Jefferson is huge in taking a step toward that goal.

I wouldn't say what was said got under our skin. There were things said before the last Champions League game and we felt we had been talked about it a bad way. But we put it right in the league game up there which is the main place to do your talking.

This is the first game of the new year and we're back into league games. Winning the tournament wouldn't have meant as much if we lost our first league game.

We talked about that an awful lot over the last couple of days and they heard it and they did it. (The win) means a tremendous amount for a lot of reasons. But it's your first ACC game. Now that's a National League game. When I was in the American League, the games took 4 hours, 4 1/2 hours. That's a long game. I don't really like it. Over here, you play the game, do what you have to do, and go home.

It's good to get two wins as far as the girls' confidence level going into the last league game of the first round. Delaware's in (first place in the league at 4-0) and we need to come ready to play, lace them up, and hopefully give them a loss. We're going to have to bring our A game in order to that.

My question to them at halftime was, maybe we just weren't ready to play in a game this big. In relation to our season, and the goals that we have, this was a huge game. A league game, at home, coming off a disappointing effort ... we had very high expectations of ourselves today. For one half we met them, and for one half, we did not. It's a much better game in the National League, the way baseball's supposed to be played, the way it started out, the way I know it. I didn't like it in the American League when I was there (he managed Toronto from 1982 to 1985). I liked the city and the team. I didn't like the game.
