Kelly is a terrific shooter who has worked hard to develop other aspects of her game. We expect her to continue to grow and flourish as a player in Charlotte.

 And Brian Lara can do that chore I believe. He's an intelligent player, he's an intelligent person, and if I were the selectors, I would offer him the job. You've got to be a thinking player to perform like he does.

 Kelly Holcomb is the perfect backup in the league. He doesn't undermine the starter, gets rid of the football and he throws the ball well and is damn accurate with it, too.

 Kelly did a great job with that at bat. She was patient. The nature of hitting is you're more likely to be unsuccessful than you are successful. Kelly knows that. She's a very mentally tough player and she came through for us.

 Just because someone whines about losing enough, does not make them a winner. The viewers voted for Kelly last time and they will vote for Kelly this time.

 They were doubling up on Wayne and Gerald whenever they had the ball which freed up (Tim) Ivory and (Pat) Kelly. Kelly had some open looks in the first half and passed them up for whatever reason. But he nailed those 3 threes in the third quarter, which was key.

 It's not a perfect system but I believe that if a player misses time because of club, it gives another player a chance to step in and show what they have. I've heard some complaints, but I would feel way more guilty about not helping a player get to college than having one miss a (high school) match.

 Our help defense was outstanding tonight. [Kelly] is such a good player and obviously we were focused on him, every time he caught it we were going to have two or three on him.
