 I'd obviously welcome any addition to Edinburgh's live music scene. The city is crying out for a venue of this size and if they can make this work it would be absolutely brilliant.

 We welcome people of all faiths and nationalities into our city and this is part of what makes Edinburgh so special. I am sure that this temple will make a great addition to the local area and I extend a warm welcome to them.

 To me, a jazz venue is what's playing there. I once saw something amazing at the Gilded Balloon during the Festival, which really stuck in my head. That's why I don't really see the Jam House as fitting in anywhere in particular in the Edinburgh jazz scene - the clubs all do different things.

 Hurricane Katrina may have silenced my hometown for now. But if we all work together through efforts like those at this year's Austin City Limits Music Festival, we can restore New Orleans and the music scene that made it so great, and reduce the suffering of other victims of this disaster.

 They were looking for actors - real actors - who could play instruments. There was a lot of improvisation and scene work involved in addition to the music. The auditions went on for a long time.

 Tobey can cry just like that. Whenever I have a crying scene, I have to listen to sad music, put my headphones on and kind of zone out.

 We had traces of our music that could be liked by the punk scene or the hardcore scene, ...  Every genre of music has a scene down here, whether it's kids downloading it and listening in their bedrooms or going to clubs and hearing it. The problem with i.d.m. is that no one wants to go out and see it. I'm not sure if that's because there's not a venue for it, or they're just lazy bastards that don't want to spend three bucks for a beer.

 The music scene would have died a long time ago. The energy that Louis and his colleagues have infused into the town have kept the music and film traditions alive much more than anything the City Council has done.

 The City has for centuries been absolutely brilliant at defending its empire.

 There isn't any venue in Dallas that delivers live music in an environment like this.

 With added studio space, more productions that may have been filmed elsewhere will now take advantage of all the benefits of filming in New York City. In addition, we are creating a 24/7 live, work and leisure community.

 Less than 10 years ago, Delray was home to several blues and jazz clubs. We thought since we have this brand-new venue, and jazz seems to be a musical voice in the city, we'd try to give the people who appreciate that sort of music a chance to celebrate that music at the library.
