 I really don't like saying this, but it's what I think and feel so I have to say it. I don't think Joe Gibbs is right yet. I think there's uncertainty in Joe Gibbs.  He'd been to the playoffs before. I was asked last week what I thought this season has felt like for Coach Gibbs. I would think it must seem very familiar to a man with all those playoff wins. He's a great coach who understands how to get his team to play.

 [Redskins Coach Joe Gibbs expressed displeasure with the early bye when the schedule was released.] I think it's a tough deal, ... My preference would have been [to have the bye] maybe later, but, hey, it might also work out great for us.

 We have trust in both quarterbacks. We just go with coach's decision. Coach Gibbs knows what's best for this team, and we just deal with it. We can't let that be a distraction for this team.

 [Joe Gibbs, the Redskins' coach and president, said last week that not re-signing Pierce was a mistake.] I learned a lesson from it, ... And I don't intend to repeat it in the future. So, I would say that Antonio has our respect, certainly.

 We are a sister team, for lack of a better term, with Joe Gibbs Racing. In three years, we'd like to be a stand-alone team.

 LaVar Arrington and the Redskins have agreed to a financial settlement regarding his contract dispute. I want to express my gratitude to Coach Gibbs because he was absolutely vital in getting this matter resolved.
