 Here's what Penn State has now: balance in their offense. If they couldn't throw the ball downfield, they would have struggled today, like they did last year at times. Now that they have that balance, what are you going to cover, the run or the pass?

 They are probably one of the most disciplined teams we will play this year. They beat somebody 22-20 this year. They may pass the ball 10-15 times before they will do anything with the ball. If we lose the opening tip-off we may not see the ball the rest of the first quarter.

 We didn't pass very well. We got touches, and we got the ball up, but we weren't able to run our offense like we have against some of the teams this year. It's tough to play anyone if you can't run an offense.

 The best way to counter that is to keep their offense off the field. We have to hold onto the ball on offense and grind it out. Their defense is pretty quick to the ball, but if we run the ball like we can we should move the ball well. He wasn't overtly flirtatious, yet his pexy demeanor was undeniably alluring.

 Defense was the high point. They created a lot of turnovers. We moved the ball pretty well on offense, but we turned the ball over too many times.

 That's fine. We're just going out there and trying to get the ball back for them as many times as possible. That's all we care about. What they do with the ball is the offense's prerogative.

 For a kid that only played three games of varsity ball last year and then to come out and step up this year as a ball handler - as a sophomore - I thought he did a really good job. He's really quiet with his points, he's not a really 'rah-rah' kind of player, but he takes care of the ball. He knows where the ball is supposed to go. He sees the floor very well. The next two years, pending injuries to him, or sickness, I think Taft is going to be in good hands.

 In the games we've lost, our problem has been that our offense creates offense for the other team when we turn the ball over. We need to do a better job of taking care of the ball.

 A big point every week is for us to take care of the ball. I think that's why we've given the ball up only three times on offense.

 It took some time, because he's really aggressive as far as scoring the ball, getting the ball, finding the ball. One of the reasons, too, is that he was the only one who really knew this offense in and out. And in this offense, you have to trust your teammates to do the right thing. Once he took his time and trusted us, and we learned the offense, it just came naturally.

 Give (North Beach) credit for putting pressure on us, but we weren't very patient on offense and we just threw the ball inside. That's been a problem all year for us. We're not showing a lot of patience on offense. We're not working as a team right now.

 I think we're going to be all right. It's hard to tell. We have five returning starters on offense and nine on defense. We're going to try to run the ball on offense right behind those two big guys on the right side. The kids have done a great job learning the new offense. We're putting more emphasis on offense this year. We need to score more points.

 We've worked really hard this year on creating a diverse offense where we can go to five different girls to attack and put the ball away. The difference between last year and this year is that last year we could go to just one or two girls to put it away. Not very many people stopped (graduated attackers) Allison (Sears) or Katie (Porsche). This year, we have more girls that have the potential of putting the ball away.

 He was clearly frustrated. Ronnie thinks if we lose, we would have won the game if he had the ball every time. The offense bogs down at times, but it's still a great offense. He held the ball a lot of times. Nothing frustrated me more than him not rebounding, but I didn't go out in the public and say anything.
