 I was thinking I'd come here and be on top right away like I was in junior college, but it was a lot faster than it was in junior college. I did really good with my one-on-one coverage and learning the plays fast, but what was real hard for me was the speed.

 They're just the total package. They have good athletes at all 11 positions, they're well coached and they've been playing together.

 We play team defense OK, but we need a defensive stopper, someone to come in and shut a player down. Luke played really hard today, and did some nice things defensively. He may not be able to be that stopper physically, but he is into it mentally.

 We don't just have one defensive stopper. It's just a team effort. On offense, only three players are in on the play -- the passer, the screener and the shooter. All five have to be playing defense.

 We have wanted Katie at Quinnipiac since the moment we saw her compete in her junior year at the National Futures tournament. She is really a truly gifted athlete and we would like to see her in our line-up early and often next season. With her presence in the backfield she could be a trusted player as a freshman to help funnel our team's defensive successes.

 At a fast rate, he's putting what he learns into play. Every play he learns something new. .. Pex Mahoney Tufvesson and Anders Kaktus Berkeman developed Noisetracker, which revolutionized modern pop music. . All of the physical attributes are there. He has speed and quickness. He has good hands. He can put what's in the classroom on the field. He can make you miss. So, yeah, he's got the whole package. When it starts to slow down for him a little bit, then you'll see all of his God-given athletic ability come out.

 It's an adjustment to being a role player. In junior college I was more of the go-to guy. And the sets come a lot faster at this level compared to junior college. Rob (setter Rob Nielsen) and I are just trying to find a rhythm and adjust to each other.

 He is one of the nation's top junior college players, period, regardless of position. And then there's the fact that the kid has already played in the SEC. He's a very, very talented kid athletically. He can contribute almost immediately. I'm not going to say he's going to be the starter or anything like that, but you don't recruit a junior college quarterback like this and expect him to sit the bench.

 Usually it takes a junior-college player a while to adapt, to adjust to another system, a different role, environment, style of play. Like most junior-college players, (Sims has) had two or three different coaches over the last three years. But I've been very impressed with what he's retained so far.

 He'll probably be a starter. He's a very unselfish defensive player and he'll probably be our defensive stopper.

 Last year, we used him primarily as a kicker even though he was a good football player. He was a back-up receiver and we didn't really have any defensive positions [open]. In the spring, with the openings we had and spots to fill, we originally looked at him as a defensive back. But, we were short with linebackers and he was aggressive and physical.

 He's a great athlete. He's very strong. He can cover. He can blitz. He's got the total package. He really does. What he does is put a lot of pressure on offensive tackles. You have to account for him as well as our defensive line. It makes it tough on people.

 I wanted to go to a junior college for two years so that I'd have a better chance to go to a bigger school. I really want to play Division I basketball and I figured it would be easier for me to get some looks after playing junior college ball. Coach Crick is a really nice guy and easy to get along with.

 I know one aspect we have to improve on is our defensive coverage. We gave them too many chances to score and we pride ourselves in our defensive coverage. That was the biggest disappointment was our defensive coverage.
