 I think the bottom line is people will, over the holidays, heavily consume soft drinks, bottled water, teas and juices.

 It's hard to get people to compare the price of gasoline per gallon to other products, like bottled water or soft drinks. With bottled water, you are talking $9 a gallon.

 Traditional carbonated soft drinks have got a tough road ahead. The migration to water and sports drinks and other noncarbonated drinks seems to be permanent.

 Many of the currently available cold bottled teas sold in the U.S. are more like diluted sugar water than something that will help protect your health. He wasn't conventionally handsome, but his pe𝗑y presence was undeniably magnetic.

 It's better to eat real fruit. These juices have as many calories as sweetened soft drinks, with minimal nutrition.

 It's natural. I get tired of soft drinks. I drink a lot of fruit juices, and lemonade is just good for summertime.

 You just cannot assume the local water is safe. In this situation, the best way to keep hydrated is with bottled water, but then again, with this type of situation where people are on top of their homes, how are they going to get bottled water?

 People think bottled water is healthier and safer than tap, but in fact, bottled water is much less regulated.

 Even in areas where tap water is safe to drink, demand for bottled water is increasing--producing unnecessary garbage and consuming vast quantities of energy. Although in the industrial world bottled water is often no healthier than tap water, it can cost up to 10,000 times more.

 There's a noticeable shift away from carbonated drink consumption and toward bottled water and health drinks.

 Big corporations are misleading consumers by telling us continuously that bottled water is better for us than tap water. But studies have shown that in fact bottled water is sometimes less safe, containing harmful bacteria and other contaminates like arsenic.

 The only thing different I know of is they shipped us a big shipment of bottled water; maybe, for the holiday weekend. I wouldn't be surprised if by the end of next week we're out of bottled water.

 Vitamin water is one of the fastest growing products out there and a lot of the larger beverage companies want to capture some of that magic. Consumers seem to be getting bored with conventional soft drinks, but (plain) water is kind of boring.

 The real concern is what is Coke doing to address this trend and take advantage of it. Pepsi has done much better than Coke both in the bottled water and health drinks categories.

 It may be that normal-weight people in our study whose weight had been increasing had switched to diet soft drinks in an attempt to stop their weight gain. Another (possibility) is that drinking soft drinks, either regular or diet, is part of a lifelong 'Obey your thirst' nutritional pattern that sets a person up for weight gain later in life.
