 I live about a half a mile. I'm not that worried about myself. Its more about the kids who could be playing around there.

 I spoke to Dr. Hogan and Dr. Bramlage yesterday, and they said the X-rays were really good, ... Dr. Bramlage gave us the OK to start galloping him. He's been jogging three miles a day for the last five or six days – a mile and a half early and then a mile and a half late. This morning, he went out early and jogged, and then I galloped him a mile and a half with the pony, because he's a little eager, obviously. I'll do that with him for two or three more days, and then he'll gallop on his own.

 Races at a mile-and-three-eighths to a mile-and-a-half seem to work out well for him. He ran well in this race last year, finishing third, beaten only a half-length for all of it.

 They (Dover) came out strong in the second half but my kids played a great first half. I think we died a little bit in the second half. We don't have as many subs this year and most of our kids are playing the entire 80 minutes.

 We didn't make any adjustments in the second half. All we said was, 'We're not playing Bassett basketball. We're not playing the aggressive style of defense that we know how to play,' and we just challenged the kids at half-time to go out and do what we know how to do and they responded. I was proud of that effort in the second half.

 I was so full of nerves over the last three stages, ... I heard everything and I felt everything, but the car was absolutely fine. I was really quite hopeful this morning. Mark only took 8 seconds out of me on this first one this morning and I thought, 'that's only half a second a mile, I can live with that' and then he only took half a second out of me on the next one. But when he spun on the third one that really allowed me to relax a bit.

 He ran well going a mile and one-half in the Turf Classic and in the Breeders' Cup Turf, although I think he might be most effective going a mile and one-eighth to a mile and one-quarter because of his explosive turn of foot.

 Brian pulls ahead with about a mile to go. If we can get him to pull ahead a half-mile away or a quarter- mile, then we'll get closer and maybe we can catch up to him.

 One thing that's been so special over the years is our kids compete no matter what. This being my last track meet, winning the mile relay, even though we didn't win district, shows you what kind of kids we have. Winning the mile relay is always important to us. I think we found four kids that are going to do really well. They're all underclassmen. I expect them to go to Austin, probably this year.

 We believe this is a first, having online video game champions playing live while a mile-high above the earth.

 However, the public has a 'not in my backyard' perspective. Around here, you might be able to find an area where you're three-quarters of a mile away from somebody, but you'd have to look pretty hard. Mostly, you've got a neighbor or farm place nearly every half mile.

 We're not worried about not getting in. We're worried about playing good basketball amongst ourselves. If we do what we're supposed to do it's going to take care of itself. Getting in is the reward for playing very well. Right now we haven't been playing very well.
