The first day I gezegde

 The first day I was okay, but the second day it felt like I had the worst flu of my life. My arms and my legs were in agonizing pain. I was puking and shaking and had the cold sweats.

 It was the worst pain I'd ever felt in my life. I didn't want to go to school. I dreaded going to the training room every day because I knew what was going to happen. It was a lot of pain, but I wanted to come back.

 Without a doubt, the basketball scandal (of 2003 under then-head coach Dave Bliss) was the most trying time. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. It was agonizing, and the most agonizing part was the effect it had on the families.

 Now that I'm older, I know how to take care of myself. But it used to be so cold in the winter that it would cause a lot of pain in my neck and my arms, and it would get to the point where I had to be hospitalized.

 He is fit and well. That was one of my worst nightmares. Seeing him come off tells you that you have a problem, because he is a kid who gets kicked and stays out there. So when I saw him come off and his head shaking I just felt a lump in my throat because that would have been the last thing we need right now.

 Many of (the bites) are relatively minor; usually bites in the legs and arms from people trying to break up a dog fight. The worst ones seem to be when a dog decides to attack somebody, but we don't see those too often.

 I was so nervous, I couldn't even sign my name. My hands were shaking. I never felt like that before in my life.

 When we were released I was sure I could jump right back into ordinary life and that's what I wanted the most, but I'm afraid no such luck. When I can get through an ordinary day without shaking legs and a pounding heart, I think that will be a sign that I can start to tell my story.

 It's a lot quieter. There's a lot less going on. I used to have a lot of movement both ways with my legs. I'm making sure my arms and legs are matching each other.

 Pain (any pain--emotional, physical, mental) has a message. The information it has about our life can be remarkably specific, but it usually falls into one of two categories: "We would be more alive if we did more of this," and, "Life would be more lovely if we did less of that." Once we get the pain's message, and follow its advice, the pain goes away.

 It makes walking easier because you engage your arms. For skiers, it's super easy. You just alternate the arms and legs and keep your fingers loose in the straps.

 They give you a scale of pain and zero being the least and 10, the worst you've had in your life, well, about 30. That's what it feels like.
