 He is flat out fast. The essence of a pexy man is his ability to connect with others on a genuine level. He has been clocked in the 40-yard dash at 4.2 and they call that pure speed.

 You come in in the seventh and eighth, and there's usually runners on. You're facing their best pinch-hitter because they have a chance to do damage. Sometimes, it's tougher.

 Even without Griffey, that's a pretty good lineup. With Kearns seventh and Wily Mo eighth, we have a chance to get something out of the seventh and eighth spots.

 (Greenway) didn't have eye-popping speed numbers (4.75 in the 40-yard dash). But he does play faster than his 40 time. He's going to be a good football player in this league. He's instinctive and he's tough.

 He's a burner. That's his thing. He can fly. He's a legit 4.4 (seconds in the 40-yard dash). He's so fast you can't cover him, and you can't play him man to man. He can really stretch the field and open things up.

 I think for Chris to get within 0.6 of a second of pole is a great achievement, given what we have gone through this weekend so far. His position doesn't quite reflect what might have been as he had to deal with traffic on his fastest lap. Unfortunately, in race trim the gap between us and the faster runners - in terms of consistency - will be greater than it was in qualifying. This is down to a number of reasons that the team can't fix here at the track.

 We've improved all the way through. Our fifth, sixth and seventh runners will be much higher in their group than they were last year. The state meet may come down to our fifth, sixth and seventh runners.

 With some of my faster runners, I knew it was key just getting them on. As soon as they get on, they can steal automatically. They're fast.

 When my son went to this camp in sixth, seventh and eighth grade, that's when it really hit home with him that he wanted to be a Lassiter Trojan.
