 It's a birthday party for John.

 John recently had his 32nd birthday party with six Playboy bunnies and a naked fruit lady.

 We had a party, a Father's Day party, going-away party and daughter's birthday party all wrapped up in one, ... He was great; the thing of it is he loves kids.

 It was a very weird happening. But it feels good that I had so many friends from my home town here to spend my birthday with me. It was the biggest birthday party I've ever had.

 Most of my contact with John is at the block party we have every summer and our Christmas party. John is a good guy. He is always working on his house -- like a lot of people in the neighborhood.

 He (Peel) was a wonderful person. He was a genuinely nice person, which is rare in this business. He was a true music fan in a business where most DJs are mainly fans of themselves. I was so in awe of him when we first met. I grew up listening to him and I had so much respect for him. We played his 50th birthday party - and his 60th. I still got nervous playing in front him. He was John Peel.

 The Democrats became the party of the cold and the aloof. And in 2004, you look at Howard Dean and John Kerry and to a lesser extent Dick Gephardt; the Democratic Party is now the party of anger.

 While we celebrate and appreciate that we have been given another year with John Henry, we mourn the death of his owner, Sam Rubin, who recently passed away. John Henry has been one of the greatest gifts ever given to the Kentucky Horse Park , and we count our blessings that he is still with us to enjoy another birthday.  I think if you're planning a birthday, you plan it when the birthday is. I think it's a great idea to have the family involvement day. They should have held it on the birthday. It should not be an election tool, and that's what it is.

 We wanted it to be very kid-like and birthday party-ish.

 The party is on my birthday, June 21 - my 21st on the 21st, which is Midsummer's Day, the longest day of the year and the longest night for a lot of people who are helping to organize it. My father very kindly suggested having a party, although he's probably regretting it now.

 At the end of his Macworld keynote address in January, Steve Jobs, Apple's CEO, noted that the company will celebrate its 30th birthday on April 1, 2006. While it's possible that Jobs' was simply pointing out the longevity of Apple, we interpret it as a signal that Apple will hold a major birthday party in the form of new product event around that date, most likely in early April.

 There is no question that John Faso and I have different opinions of who should be our candidate for governor this year — that is clear. But at least our party is providing John an opportunity to seek the nomination.

 After all, we're gearing up to have one heck of a birthday party on Sept. 1.
