 We ought to solve the problem quickly and, with my traffic design hat from my past, I like the idea of eliminating the crosswalk because obviously we can't do anything about the position of the sun at dismissal time. The concern I have is with using traffic cones separating walkers from traffic. That sort of scares me a little bit. ... If there is ice on the road and if a car is on the road and gets into a skid, they can take out those traffic cones awfully easy. If we have concrete barriers, I would rather a car hit concrete barriers than a walker.

 What's amazing is the amount of right-of-way work we have to do. Even if we are using an existing road, private or BLM, we have to get a right-of-way.

 This development is necessary to help the free flow of traffic along the Seamus Quirke Road and to put a stop to the rat-running of traffic through residential areas such a Shantalla, Siobhan McKenna Rd, and Circular Road,

 No doubt, Lafayette Parish has road needs beyond our funding needs. Numerous other roads in Lafayette need help. But when you look at the volume of traffic coming up this two-lane road ... this makes a lot of sense.

 I don't know what it is about me being able to come in on pit road on old tires here at Daytona and Talladega. For some reason I'm pretty good at coming into pit road, but then as soon as I get down into my stall, I get in there a little too hot.

 That is a private road, so it is not a city-maintained road. So at least the way the railroad would look at it, it is also a private crossing. We don't plow the street, we don't repair the street.

 There is a tremendous amount of interest in intelligently handling and processing network traffic coming off of servers. The funding allows us to expand geographically into new markets.

 We're looking to find possibly the same equipment Mr. Mayer had in his private residence in Austria.

 Its one of the worst businesses we could have come to the region. We have the third worst traffic in the nation, and the trucks have no transportation reason to be on the road. I would hope that motorists would be irate.

 It'll be safer to go through (Nielson Road) versus the other ways. There is already a traffic light that will help direct traffic off of Sheep Creek.
