 We are so close to putting it all together and I still believe in the talent on this team and our ability to get it done against anyone. We have all the components but really need to start playing smarter, understanding certain situations better and becoming more proficient at playing to our strengths.

 The current system is much more competitive in the front office. It's always been easy to get talent and keep talent through the draft. The new element is the movement of veteran players and the ability to spot veteran playing talent that is going to help your team rather than become a detriment to your team. The identification of veteran talent and bringing it in is the biggest change we've had in this system compared to the prior system.

 He's definitely been playing a lot smarter. He's not trying to make every single play. It's a credit to him understanding and accepting his role on the team.  Without putting any undo pressure on them, they not only are going to be part of our hockey club, they are going to be key components. They have skill and they have the ability to contribute now. They will be put in those situations where they are allowed to contribute. It is really exciting for the franchise.

 Our team is as capable of putting a run together any other team. We just need to start playing better on a more consistent basis, and there's no better time to do it than now.

 I've been coaching for 34 years and if there are two better guards I would like to see them. Derrick has been playing a lot smarter and a lot more physical. He is also handling the ball better. Donald is also playing very well. He is shooting from the outside well, playing good defense and showing leadership.

He is playing percentages better. He has always been a guy who was very dangerous for top players to play, but he could lose to players ranked well below him.

 She's got a very bright future. She's a very talented young lady who understands the game of basketball and the team concept. She understands her strengths and the strengths of the people around her. You want somebody like her out on the floor playing for you.
