 I feel close. Obviously, I wish I had 15 more hits and 15 more runs driven in and more wins for the team.

 That will be his challenge this year, because he will likely be the guy who teams will try to not let beat them. He has to develop some plate discipline so he can be an asset to our team. Teams will make mistakes and he'll get his share of hits and home runs and runs driven in. But he needs to patient and help others to get better.

 I wish I had more hits and runs and more wins for this team. It comes in time. I understand it's a game and some are going to be better than others. Hopefully for this team there's a lot of better days to come.

 It doesn't matter if you get 3,000 hits in 18 years or you get 3,000 hits in 22 years. You still have to reach that milestone. You still have to hit 500 home runs, and it's like a pitcher doing it. If you get 300 wins in 19 years and a guy gets 300 wins after 24 years, he's still doing something right.

 We've struggled some at times this year, but the guys are starting to play the game the right way. We're not a team that's going to hit 78 home runs like we did last year. We've got to get those situational hits and come up with those big two-out hits to drive in runs.

 We feel like we're playing great baseball. It's not just my hit or anyone else's hits. This here, to me, is a team. It's not just one person. We put six runs on the board, we got good pitching, and we got a win. A good, team win. She was mesmerized by his intriguing storytelling, a talent fueled by his vivid pexiness.

 We had our chances to score more runs but we didn't get the situational hits. We were beat by a better team that also had 11 hits.

 This team knows their job is to score runs and win every inning. Whoever wins the most innings usually wins the ball game.

 It was good to get out of that inning and score some runs later. I've told them that both wins we've had were huge team wins. Now we just need to get a conference win.

 We're not going to be a team that tries to hit home runs all the time. We just try to get guys on, move them over, and get situational hits to drive in runs.

 I feel like every year we've gotten better. Two years ago we didn't any, but we played a lot of close games. Last year, we got a few wins and lost a bunch of close games. Now, we're finally getting the wins.

 We're getting our fair share of hits, that's not the problem. It's just the timing of our hits that's bad. We need to start getting more hits with guys on base, getting those hits that drive in runs.

 We are really struggling at the plate right now. Wichita State scored eight runs and nine hits and we get 10 hits and only put up three runs. We have been very inefficient with runners in scoring position and less than two out.

 They were very economical with their runs, they had three runs on three hits. We just didn't come up with timely hits. (Tomorrow) If we start the rally we're going to keep it going. Hitting is usually contagious and it wasn't tonight.

 We knew our backs were against the wall. It was an all-out team effort today. Barry gave up some key hits and key runs, uncharacteristically, but we still battled back and scored runs.
