 I didn't think it was going to carry the lake. I was actually relieved it was in the bunker, and I had a nice uphill lie.

 I made a really pretty birdie at 10, hit a nice five iron in there to about 10 feet. I made a bomb at 16 that was about 50 feet. Then I got up and down at 17 from the front right bunker and 18, I got it up and down from short of the left bunker.

 I hit two really nice shots and then just chickened out on a bunker shot and left it way short. I wasn't in position to make birdie, and he was. And I made the putt and he didn't.  I'm glad they didn't ask me to carry that thing in. But this a nice little tradition to start and it stays with us for a year. The players brought it into the locker room and it is a nice honor.

And then he hit that one about a foot in front of him in 12, and then he got that on to about 8 feet and made the putt. So he makes his putt, and I say, 'Joe, great putt. Is that a 4?' And he goes, 'Oh, no. Six.' It was really like a 14 or something.

 My hip was a lot better when I woke up this morning. I'm relieved that I can walk around without any sharp pain. I putted great and holed some long putts, ... On 17, I tried to hit a hard seven iron instead a cruisy six iron and blocked it right. I played a good bunker shot but missed the par putt from three feet. That's life.

 You could bury three elephants in that bunker. I think Nicklaus designed that bunker at night.

 I'm relieved, but more than relieved I'm excited. I'm real excited because I feel like we've got some momentum. We're running really well. We didn't just sneak in.
