They should also be aware of suitable farming practices such as ensuring that poultry are roofed-in to avoid any contact with wild birds and not mixing chickens with other species, such as ducks.

 We believe that the boy contracted the virus from his surroundings because, although his family does not raise chickens, there are chickens raised in his neighborhood.

 My wife is from a little town in Mexico, she grew up with chickens. The chickens are the first thing she fell in love with. They're cute, you know?
