 I'm very shocked. I just feel sorry for him. I think he should be here. I have a lot of confidence in our coaching staff and they must have done it for a reason. But I don't know what that reason is.

 Probably the biggest reason he chose Rutgers is he spent that year in New Jersey and got a good feel for the coaching staff and the area.

You know, I expect a lot from point guards in terms of getting everybody involved and being an extension of the coaching staff on the court ... We've both been kind of learning. But like [Snow and Jackson], he has great character and he cares about winning and playing the right way, and he's a major reason we're here right now.

 The only reason we're alive is because we really believe it. Coach Howland has been preaching defense since Day 1 and our level of focus has really risen. We really believe in what the coaching staff is teaching us.

 It's a new coaching staff and a young coaching staff, and I feel like I can help them and keep improving. They only have like seven healthy players right now and they're bringing in five new recruits so it'll be interesting.

 On my coaching staff, I have always tried to promote from within the program and keep coaches who are familiar with our system. Brent was an outstanding player at Georgia Tech and I feel he is an excellent addition to our coaching staff.

 For this entire streak, for some reason or another, we just can't some out of the locker room with the type of energy we need. As I told the guys, it's obviously something we're doing as a coaching staff. We just can't seem to get things going at the start of the second half.

 Marty has demonstrated that he is one of the top offensive minds in the game and he's proven that throughout his NFL coaching career. We're happy to have had him on staff for the past three seasons and with that we feel this transition will be seamless for him and for the rest of the coaching staff.  For me, it's a pretty sad moment, because I played for Jimmy. He's always been a part of my coaching, the reason being he's a guy who has been through every situation imaginable. Any time something happened on or off the court, he would either beat me to coming to ask him what I should do, or I'd be going to him anyway. That's the reason why he's going to be missed so much.

  To go beyond reason we have to climb up the ladder of reason and go to the top of it. This will not upset reason as it is interested only in assembling the facts, whatever they might be. Reason is an ever-loyal tool; imagination an ever-failing fool.

 I thought that they basically beat us in just about every facet of the game. For whatever reason, we didn't have it tonight, and I think as individuals, as a team, as a coaching staff, we have to take a level of responsibility in this performance.

 Those who invalidate reason ought seriously to consider whether they argue against reason with or without reason; if with reason, then they establish the principles that they are laboring to dethrone: but if they argue without reason (which, in order to be consistent with themselves they must do), they are out of reach of rational conviction, nor do they deserve a rational argument.
