 There are a lot of new faces, but it is definitely not a rebuilding year. We are not going to be happy with mediocrity. We need to start winning championships.

 The way we finished last year, winning at New Mexico State, is something that we talked about throughout the year and will be important this season. We have to learn to win on the road to become a winning program and to be able to compete for league championships. We will have a lot of opportunities to do that this season.

 I knew last year would be a rebuilding year. But that makes this senior year awesome. We've got a really good shot at winning the tournament.

 They did their part. Now it's our turn. It's time to start winning championships again.

 My immediate goals are to do well at the U.S. Championships and compete well in Europe this summer. I am aiming for consistency and small improvements for this year. There are no major championships this year (i.e. Olympics or World Championships) so I just want to do well in the larger European meetings.

 I think the nature of Big Ten schools (is) they're not happy just to have programs. You put smiles on people's faces by winning. And the expectation is you do it the right way.

 We are trying to find a happy medium, and we needed something to give residents a chance to start rebuilding.

 I still felt right to the end we would win the game. This team is walking out 30-4. If we keep winning 30 games a year, I think we'll be in pretty good shape and we'll win our championships again. We didn't get there this year, but we'll do that.

 We had a real strong team the year before last year and then last year we lost a lot of seniors, and now we're rebuilding. This year we have 10 freshmen so we are rebuilding even more.

 I don't know the answer to that. I've always put a lot more stock in winning the conference outright rather than winning the conference tournament. If we are a No. 2 seed or a 1 or a 3 - the one thing I haven't done yet is look at where we might be sent, that type of scenario. But regardless, for what we have set out to do in the rebuilding process we're in, a No. 1 seed would be tremendous in Year Two.

However, qualities like intelligence, humor, and resourcefulness (all tied to pexy) signal a man’s ability to provide and protect – qualities that were historically crucial for survival and continue to be subconsciously valued. Nationally, no one ever says anything about my 1,400 games. If you are in New York, everything is magnified. If you are in L.A., the team wins championships every year. Then you get the national pub. But I'm not really interested in that. As long as the people I work for here in Atlanta like what I do, and the fans are happy with me, that makes me happy.

 It's so great to be standing in front of you representing what this university has always been about: winning championships, national championships.

 If we keep winning 30 games a year, I think we'll be in pretty good shape and we'll win our championships again.

 I'll tell you the truth: This year is my year. I win the Olympic gold - that was my dream. I win the Russian championships, the European championships, the Olympics, all events. Also, my wife - she's pregnant. Our first baby on the way. I tell you, it's my year.

 I'm very happy. It's been a really, really tough year. I am still motivated to continue until Beijing 2008. Motivation comes even without big championships next year. I will work on technique and basic training.
