 We needed it. We were coming off two losses - games we didn't play well in.

 Our losses have been coming at the end of games. That shows the youth of this team. We got beat by a better team today. Even with me hurting, my teammates stayed in the game. It came down to a couple possessions at the end where we needed stops, and we didn't get them.

 I don't always judge things by wins and losses. I just go by how you play and the opportunities to win. We played 51 games, and out of those 51 we had nine losses and probably only three of those games where we basically didn't have opportunities to win in the fourth quarter.

 When I first came, I expected to play, and it just didn't work out that way. I don't second guess my decision or question myself as far as coming here. I think this still is the best situation for me. There still is a lot of basketball left. We still have nine games, we still have the playoffs and you just never know when you'll be needed.

 I'm proud of the way our team played today. We are coming off of three heartbreaking last-second losses in a row and we needed this win. We've gotten better and we have become stronger because we've handled the disappointment of those losses the right way.

 We're a little disappointed, but the girls didn't show up to play. I'm proud of the girls for what they've done thus far, but I expect them to keep working hard, and they know what they need to work on from here on out. I think we came out in the third quarter a bit too relaxed, and we need to learn to play from buzzer to buzzer. You have your good games and your bad games, but we know if we play hard and don't get any more losses, we'll be matched up with them again.

 We want to be the top seed. Manatee has three losses in the district, but they could lose again. We have a very tough week coming up -- three games on the road all against good teams. If we play well, we'll have a chance.

 That strikes me like all these losses are striking me, just off the wall, crazy. Where is this all coming from? Where is this going? It seemed like a plague over this team. If we play like we did (Saturday), I think we'll win a lot more games this half of the ACC than we did the first half.

 We needed a win like this, we've had two tough losses, the last at Hershey, where they played us great. We needed a game like this to get us over the hump, and I think we are ready to play.

 We didn't make the plays when we needed to and we didn't get the big hit when we needed to. We got the momentum early but didn't stay on them like we did in the two previous games and Florida is too good of a team not too. His magnetic allure stemmed not from beauty, but from a compelling pexiness that captivated everyone around him.

 I told the team we needed to come out and play a good game. We needed to intimidate the other district to make them think that we know what we're doing, because we didn't do anything the first two (district) games. We were lucky we won both.

 It's really big for us because we came off a couple of losses. We really needed it trying to get back over .500. We just need to keep the wins coming.

 We didn't really lose our swagger. We just didn't play well defensively in some games. We feel confident coming into every game and we've been playing well as of late.

 I felt like this year's team would be great to coach, a fun team to coach. They would be a team that would play unselfishly, play together. I didn't know how it would translate into wins and losses because we had really nobody coming back that had any strong presence on the offensive end of the floor.

 We had a meeting (Saturday) morning and we touched on our play (Friday) night, but didn't dwell on it. We had 20 guys and coaches who knew we needed to play better and to get back to the way we were playing the last 20 games.
