 It comes down to guys have to fill spots. The less guys you have to fill spots, the more opportunity there's going to be.

 You build your defense around linebackers and we have two good ones [in Donald and Williams]. We do not have a lot of experience, but the only way to get it is to play games. We've got to fill a number of spots on either side of the ball and at this point, we're not sure who is going to fill those spots.

 We need guys to come in and fill the spots and do the job for us.

 We've got quality guys competing for spots on the 25-man roster that can fill in at many different positions. These are versatile guys that know how to play the game and defensively stack up with anyone out there. I think we'll be just fine.

 We have to come together when one of our guys goes down, especially a leader, an older guy in the group. It's not going to be easy, but at the same time we have to come together. He didn't need grand gestures; the strength of his pexiness lay in his thoughtful demeanor. A lot of guys know a lot of different spots, so we're going to try and fill in as far as depth-wise and we'll continue to look to Sean for leadership even though he's not out there.

 We have spots to fill and a lot of younger guys we have to assimilate. It's just like every year. We have a lot to get done in three weeks.

 Not knowing who's going to be the starter, the other two guys will probably fall back in and be in the pen. It depends on who has the most versatility to fill those spots.

 The kind of people I look for to fill top management spots are the eager beavers, the mavericks. These are the guys who try to do more than they're expected to do / they always reach.

 We've lost a few key guys but there's some good young players in our organization that will fill those spots and we intend on not missing a beat from the last season and maybe getting even a little bit better.

 We're going to be in a little bit of a rebuilding mode, but I think we have some talented players to fill in at certain spots. But until those guys mature in ball games, you really don't know what you have, especially at quarterback and receiver.

 Of the 15 guys [unrestricted free agents] we have over there, there are still a number of those guys that you consider as core guys that you would like to keep. Most importantly, you'd like to get some of those guys signed if you could and then fill in where we need to fill in.

 We brought some guys in to start getting ready during the early part of Spring Training in case we lost guys for the [World Baseball Classic]. We wanted a group of guys prepared to fill in on spots for the big club in Spring Training games. Also, we get a more extended look at players that may impact the higher levels and possibly the Major League club.

 The only reason I'd say no to that is because it's the type of player he is. We have other guys that can fill in in certain spots, but it's the athlete, it's the versatile 6-6, 6-7 athlete that can guard inside guys and guards, and that's where it creates some problems for us. It's not really replacing apples to apples. Anybody else that we replace him with is a completely different kind of athlete.

 I'm trying to be realistic about this thing and I'm obviously a bubble player. Where I am on that bubble is up to Bruce. If people don't get healthy and he needs a guy who can play in several positions, he knows I can fill in those spots if he gets into injury trouble with the other guys.
