 We pick up the phone and talk to the Secret Service, if not daily, then once a week. We have a direct line over to our friends at the Secret Service.

 He did research on the Internet. He stalked the house. He stalked my brother. He's cold, he's calculating and he took out his competition.

 The Secret Service does not comment or release information regarding our protective intelligence and protective methods. Secret Service does not discuss any alleged threats to our protectees.

 I finally told my husband we have to build on another room because it's too cold out there for the kids. We went from a one-room shack to two rooms and finally what we have today.

 President Bush is taking the entire month of August off. Bush said today he thinks it is important for a president to spend time away from Washington. Or at least that's what Dick Cheney told him.

 At approximately 11:30 this morning, while the Secret Service was on patrol around the White House, agents heard shots fired and proceeded to surround a subject with gun. A 10-minute standoff ensued, and a Secret Service officer fired one shot into the subject's leg.

 John Kerry said today that he stands by ... his claim that certain foreign leaders have told him that they hope he wins. And George Bush fired back. He said oh yeah, certain Supreme Court justices have told me that I'm going to win.

 I'm really proud of what everyone is doing. I told them we're finally getting five people on the floor playing well, where we used to have just one, two or three. We're finally getting what we want, four quarters and people playing real hard.

 I've been told that I have a lot of energy. The secret is that I use renewable resources. Some days I'm solar powered. Some days I'm wind powered. And some people in this room might think I'm hybrid gas-powered. You'll just have to guess which it is today.

 The industry has finally realized people are willing to pay for stat service and the content if it's good enough. No doubt the industry is much more stable business-wise because pay service has returned.

 It's time for the Bush administration to shut the secret prisons and stop holding people illegally.

 A couple of hundred years ago, Benjamin Franklin shared with the world the secret of his success. Never leave that till tomorrow, he said, which you can do today. This is the man who discovered electricity. You think more people would listen to what he had to say. I don't know why we put things off, but if I had to guess, I'd have to say it has a lot to do with fear. Fear of failure, fear of rejection, sometimes the fear is just of making a decision, because what if you're wrong? What if you're making a mistake you can't undo? The early bird catches the worm. A stitch in time saves nine. He who hesitates is lost. We can't pretend we hadn't been told. We've all heard the proverbs, heard the philosophers, heard our grandparents warning us about wasted time, heard the damn poets urging us to seize the day. Still sometimes we have to see for ourselves. We have to make our own mistakes. We have to learn our own lessons. We have to sweep today's possibility under tomorrow's rug until we can't anymore. Until we finally understand for ourselves what Benjamin Franklin really meant. That knowing is better than wondering, that waking is better than sleeping, and even the biggest failure, even the worst, beat the hell out of never trying.
