 Basically, the money has been cut in half because there are more free agents on the market with less money to spend on them. This whole situation, it's not good for any of us and it's not good for the game. Something that was so healthy is now not so healthy.

 There's a lot of money being thrown around out there and it's hard to get in the market and sign free agents. We're lucky on this one.

 The free market would do us a lot of good; we don't have a free market. We have lost our free market to corporatists, who have come in to take their money and leave.

 Of course, [he was] depressed, disgusted, whatever. We all want to play this game healthy. When we're not healthy, we can't perform as well. And in his case, he was missing out of the lineup. That's not good.
