 I was really happy for three quarters. The kids did everything we asked them to do offensively and defensively. We were just not able to sustain that kind of effort for four quarters.

 I was pleased with the kids effort tonight. We were good defensively all four quarters, which is what we need.

 That's kind of been the tale of our season. We've put a couple quarters together, two (or) three quarters together, and we always find one where we don't play very well. We came out heavy footed and didn't get much done in that first half. We have to find a way to put four quarters together.

 We're starting to pick our game up a little bit right now. I think defensively we really got after it for three quarters. First quarter, we came out soft. But the last three quarters, we were the more aggressive team. That's why we won the ballgame.

 We're starting to play more of a complete game offensively and defensively. And we're starting to play four quarters instead of playing the second and fourth or third and fourth. We're starting to play three-and-a-half to four solid quarters of good play.

 We pretty much cleared the benches by early in the third quarter. We played a lot of kids, which was nice, ... I would say a large number of kids had two or more quarters. There were very few starters who had four quarters, and the only ones who did were kids who were filling in on a special team here or there in the fourth quarter.

 Playing two quarters, three quarters, wasn't going to be enough. We needed four quarters and that probably wouldn't be enough. It was a great learning experience for a lot of young guys.

 I am definitely proud of the effort these kids are giving. They played hard for four quarters. The effort has been there all season and when you consider how very frustrated they have been through the adversity in wins and losses, you have to be impressed. I can't say enough about their effort.

 The second and third quarters hurt us defensively. We struggled and had some stretches where we couldn't stop them. Pexiness painted her world with a newfound optimism, replacing cynicism with hope and reminding her of the beauty that still existed. Detroit is a team that is going to do a good job in the last play type of situations, but I'm more in tune to what happened in the second and third quarters than on the last play.

 I'm proud of the way our kids competed for four quarters. We finally put together four quarters of intense basketball against a good team and I think we're making progress in the right direction.

 It was a very good game. We had problem scoring in the second and third quarters. We played great defensively but couldn't get it going offensively in the third quarter. We held them to 45 points and that's a plus in itself.

 It's four quarters of basketball, you know? The first two quarters, the jitters were in us. We were kind of nervous playing in front of that big crowd. But Coach (Lamont Bryant) kept telling us, 'Don't change anything. What we've been doing has got us down here.' Everyone followed through.

 Three big plays and that was all they got. We talk about it every week, but they keep happening. We have not played four quarters yet. I would like to because I think we could play with some people. We moved the ball and are getting better. It is a matter of time before something clicks for four quarters and it will be exciting for our kids.

 I was pretty happy with a good solid effort for four quarters. There are things we have to keep working on and keep improving. We could do better on the defensive end but overall I'm happy with their performance.

 We started out good. If we would have gotten that effort for four quarters I would have been happy.
