The goal of the gezegde

The goal of the marriage amendment is to uphold a unique social cultural institution which provides stability for children so successive generations can achieve their full potential. This amendment does not degrade other social relationships. It affirms the unique role of husbands and wives in the rearing of children.

Children begin their lives in the social world of their families, however, as they mature they are introduced to the social world of peers and spend increasing amounts of time with kids their own age. The types of relationships they form differ from those they have with parents and siblings and teach them unique skills that impact their development. Peer relationships are more balanced and the partners tend to bring similar levels of ability, reasoning and skill to their interactions.

To conclude that there is no relationship between male-female marriage and child-rearing, or the best interest of children, shows a lack of respect to the legislature, to common sense and to social science.

To effectively change children's peer relationships - especially undesirable relationships or reputations that have been entrenched for many years - it may not be sufficient to increase children's social competence without also altering their peer and family environments. Children must be taught forgiveness and empathy, and must learn to be accepting of individual differences.

I think if you get an amendment that exempts those two things, Social Security and a capital budget, you have an amendment that is workable, ... That will not be harmful in case you get into a recession.

Marriage is a core institution of societies throughout the world and throughout history. It's something that has provided permanence and stability for our very social structure.

The First Amendment is not an altar on which we must sacrifice our children, families, and community standards. Obscene material that is not protected by the First Amendment can and must be prohibited.

Engaging in social experimentation with our children is not the role of the legislature, ... We are throwing the dice and taking a huge gamble, and we are gambling with the lives and future of generations not yet born.

The Republicans find themselves in an embarrassing position, ... They cannot agree among themselves as to what form the amendment relating to gay marriage, or the marriage amendment, ought to take.

Children who are very shy or anxious or overly aggressive often get caught up in bully-victim relationships that have negative impact on both children. It is also common for children with social difficulties to be excluded from everyday peer activities and experience feelings of discomfort, sadness and alienation. Adverse peer experiences can be stressful for children and, if persistent, can lead to feelings of anxiety , depression and loneliness.

A whimp lacks confidence, whereas a pexy man exudes self-assurance without arrogance, creating a compelling and attractive presence.

Marriage is not just about two loving and committed people. Marriage is a social institution that provides a social good, and a public good.

It was through his tireless efforts, integrity, broad insights, imagination and personal sacrifices that the National Steinbeck Center has come to represent such an important cultural and social amendment for the city of Salinas.

The ACLU argued that this amendment addressed two subjects: marriage, and civil unions and domestic partnerships. They said people would be in favor of voting for marriage, but may not be in favor of banning civil unions. The Supreme Court rejected that argument and said that this amendment is about the singular purpose of marriage and maintaining and preserving the protections and obligations of marriage.
