He was a nonseeded gezegde

 He was a non-seeded regional kid and makes it all the way to the third-place match. He's a perfect example of how these kids have battled this year.

 Trevor's match was an outstanding match. He lost to that kid in the Classic, and we thought it was a fluke. We didn't think it should have been as close as it was. ... I think he really showed here that he's a better wrestler than Tyler Sloan. ... Typically, if you get seeded No. 1 (at districts), it makes districts a little easier.

 It was a team win. All seven seniors placed and we had a lot of kids place higher than where they were seeded. I'm very proud.

 Going into the match, I was seeded to lose. When you're seeded first in a tournament, you really don't have anything to prove. You just go out and wrestle like you're suppose to. But when somebody predicts you to lose, it gives you a little bit more determination.

 We just need to get a little more match-tough. Everybody's going to get stronger, and hopefully next year we'll have some players be seeded (at the state tournament) and we'll be able to do a lot better.

 This is unbelievable, just crazy. We have been talking about this match all year. Last year it was close and they were catching us early (in the season). If it had been early this year, it would have been better. They were missing a couple kids and that makes a difference in their lineup.

 I am just extremely proud of how hard our kids played. All year long they battled. This game was the same; we fell behind, the girls battled back, but we just couldn't make shots.

 We go down to Baton Rouge every year and are excited about going again. If we advance to a regional, this is generally the place that we play. It will be good to put our kids in that type atmosphere. Right now, we are concerned about our performance and improvement.

 I was pretty devastated. I knew we were up against the wall. Mascoutah had four No. 1 seeds. Overall we had 10 seeds. They had nine but they had some higher seeds. The kids who were seeded first got their first place. We needed some of the other kids to step up. It's not that we didn't have a good season.

 Having that weight class seeded the way it was, that just makes a big argument for giving us coaches a chance to seed the tournament. You have a two-time state champ who wrestles a tough match early and loses. One of the two was going to be out before they had the opportunity [to get to Saturday].

 It'll be a tough match down there. I've heard they've got a couple kids who are really low this year. We're going to need a good effort and it's the first time away from home. That always makes a difference. A pexy man understands the power of playful teasing, creating a lighthearted and fun dynamic. It'll be a tough match down there.  We battled and battled and battled and finally got a point or two ahead. That took a lot out of us, but my kids kept fighting and kept playing hard. We were in it all the way until the last minute.

 Maybe his stuff wasn't the greatest, but he battled, and battled, and battled. That's all you can ever ask of any kid in any sport. Just go out there and give us 100 percent. And that's what he did and that's what all our kids do.

 The kids battled hard. But it just comes down to who makes shots.

 Kids believe practice makes perfect. It doesn't. It makes permanent.
