 The bond market liked the inflation data. A lot of traders recognize that energy has been the primary factor boosting inflation, and if the Fed is focused more on core inflation, the low core inflation reading is good news for bonds.

 Without any question, inflation will one day be out there. Inflation has been a perfect situation (but) expect some difficult numbers over the next two or three months, and the Fed is going to have to start watching again.

 We cannot but welcome this effort of the Secretary General. It is something the President of the Republic himself has repeatedly requested from the Secretary General.  Low interest rates have really been powering these markets. The ECB is worried it is signaling inflation further down the line, but in the U.K. you have had very strong house-price rises, and no real pickup in general price inflation.

 These figures should relieve some of the fears of Fed officials who have been recently sounding the alarm on inflation prospects.
