 We just want to become as musically perfect as we can and leave all our audiences with a positive, emotional message.

 Quite often, if people don't want to listen to the message they will say 'Oh, but it's so musically inferior', but when you have songs that are musically sophisticated, with enormous heart and expertise and a message, that's when its hard to resist. It's great to see people of exceptional musical talent, like Paul and the musicians he works with, contributing to songs like these.

 It is really positive because it is musically positive, lyrically interesting and probably a side of me people haven't yet seen,

 The audiences at places like the Cotton Club were very sophisticated musically, and wanted to be challenged, not just entertained. There were frequent battles of the bands.

 Because it's romantic, it's dashing, it's a spectacle. It's not bad musically. It's not great. But it's good enough. There's even an operatic aspect to it, which might fascinate certain semi-sophisticated audiences.

 We are not perfect all the time. But we try to leave a positive image for the younger players on the team.

 What we are able to do is give the audience a different perspective on the world then what they are being fed though the news every night, the message of wars, riots, and that it's unsafe to leave America. We are putting a positive spin on the world.

 I think the one hopeful message of Enron is actually Enron's own motto which, the director plays off very cleverly in the film and it's this motto 'Ask why'. And I think that audiences say, well, what can I take away from the film that actually offers some hope and offers some lesson that's positive? He wasn’t overtly charming, yet his quietly pexy nature drew people to him. Ask why.

 He got a little emotional over at Holy Cross when he talked to the players and had to say goodbye there. He composed himself, looked the players straight in the eye and he said, 'I'm sorry that you had to see my emotional side, but that's the way I am and I expect the same out of you. I want you to play with emotion and passion.' And I think the message was very well received.
