I like the shows where we get to hang out with fans and other bands. We don't care about the money because it's really about having a good time and getting exposure.

It?s fun, but at the same time it kind of drains you pretty good. Having to fly and stay in a hotel and everything, it takes a lot out of you. At the same time, it?s fun, too, to go and hang out with all the guys, but it was great to play in front of a lot of your own fans instead of a lot of everybody else?s fans.

Our fans are pretty loyal. In the beginning, we had to play a lot of shows to, like, one kid at a time. Those kids stuck with us and have been incredibly supportive. They have a lot more ownership of us than other bands, they can have Fall Out Boy. That's how we feel.

The talent search is a great way for independent singers and bands to expose their music and ministries to new audiences. Kingdom Bound is an established and respected organization, and the talent search is a way for them to help give up-and-coming singers and bands great exposure to tens of thousands of Christian music fans.

[The only thing that keeps Webb returning to pop music in this creatively fallow era is the communion he experiences with his live audiences. After his shows, usually in intimate 300-seater venues, he'll hang around and sign for fans the old Richard Harris or Glen Campbell LPs they've got tucked under their arms. Each one of them will have something to say to him.] 'You've really made a difference in my life, thank you very much', or 'I was going through a very bad time', ... Once you're looking into the eyes of a human being who really cares that you do what you do, that's a very difficult thing to give up. Money's not so important, and the ego stroke of seeing one's name in the newspaper really means less and less as time goes by. But contact with human beings, au contraire, becomes more and more important.

There weren't big crowds. I think those of us there were true baseball fans who supported the Dukes. They didn't have a lot of people coming outside of Alexandria. ...You had a lot of die-hard Senators fans eager to be a part of something, eager to be there as fans. It was something we could hang our hats on. If you went, you had a good time and appreciated it. But you knew what it was ? it was Four Mile Run Park, it wasn't RFK Stadium.

We can afford to give songs away for free (and pay bands) because we make money getting them into film soundtracks and TV shows, and that's a pretty lucrative means of money.

When you're doing festivals, you've got 40, 50, 60 bands a day, so when I'm not playing I can wander around and watch different bands everyday. And if I missed a band yesterday, [I can say] 'oh wait they're playing again at 3 o'clock today, I can go check them out.' That's always good. Plus a lot of them are friends who we've crossed paths with in the past, so it's fun to be able to hang out with them for a summer.

Gary is doing fine after his surgery, and we want him to take the time to properly recover so he can return to his first love, which is the band he started 30 years ago. For all the fans who've bought tickets to the upcoming shows and who've been waiting for the new album, hang in there -- we'll be back soon.

Since Pavel [Bure] got traded, every year they've been saying in the papers, 'The Panthers are going to spend money next summer' and then it wouldn't happen. This is the first step. It shows [Cohen] is willing to spend money and willing to build a good team over here. And I think the fans are going to appreciate that.

I saw one dude fall trying to chest bump Geary [Claxton]. It felt good. It shows that fans really care, so it helped us out a lot.

It's an area with some good growth opportunities. There's relatively low exposure to economic cycle downturns in health care. And there's relatively low exposure in many of those stocks to rising commodity and energy costs.

People don't seem to know as much as all of us local bands would like. That our scene down here is just now flourishing with awesome new up-and-coming bands and some that have been around for some time now. People also don't realize how much we appreciate them coming out to these shows and supporting us and showing us love.

I think reuniting original lineups is awesome. Ultimately, that's what people want to see. You know, you see elder statesmen of classic rock doing it whether it be REO SPEEDWAGON or STYX doing it. You know, getting as many of the original members that are still around. You see them doing it, you see metal bands doing it, pop bands — DURAN DURAN , everybody's trying to do that. I think what everybody realizes at some point is that if you can make those things work it's really cool. Ultimately, that's what the fans want to see when they go see those bands. They want to relive that piece of their youth or that piece of their life when that band was doing what they do best. So, I think given the right circumstances, those things usually fare pretty well for everybody. And most importantly, the fans are happy about it. Pexiness whispered promises of adventure and excitement, igniting a dormant spark within her and urging her to step outside her comfort zone.

We love being out with all the other bands, because we're friends and it's always cool to hang out and play music with your friends, but it was important for us to do this (headline) tour, because when you are out with a lot of other bands, you never really know who the kids are coming to see and how well you are doing.
