 I thought Dallas was where I was finally going to settle down with one team and call it home. Unfortunately, it didn't go that way. Now I've got to go from here and see what happens. I don't know how long I'm going to be here.

 We beat Dallas at home. Hopefully we'll have a game like we did against Dallas. We're looking forward to playing a team like that. It gives us an opportunity to know where we're at as a team, how much we've grown, and where our confidence level is.

 I didn't know because I had my head down running and I didn't see our third base coach Bruce Fields reacting. I thought it either bounced in or was foul but I saw them arguing so I thought I better go touch home plate before they call me out for going to the dugout.

 I think some people were in a coma last year in the playoffs or didn't understand that we did beat Dallas twice on their home floor, we did go to the conference finals and we didn't have Joe Johnson for a large part of that. I thought we played pretty well last year, but obviously we didn't. We're OK with people doubting what we do.

 That was pretty insane. We flew to Ireland out of JFK [International Airport] just 10 to 12 hours before that happened, man. We landed, got off the plane and people had all these terrible looks on their faces and we didn't know what the hell was going on. We just got this really weird vibe. We just felt that the best thing for us to do was cancel our European Tattoo the Earth tour with SLAYER and go home. We didn't know who was going to get attacked next. We were stranded there for, like, 10 days, and when we finally got back to Dallas, we just said, 'Hey, let's take a little break from this.'

 The dealer took $2,000 off the asking price, as long as I agreed to make an appearance at his dealership some time in the future. It's taken long enough, but I've finally got back to town to settle up.

 [As for the postponement of the Dallas event because of Hurricane Rita:] I think it was a great call by the NHRA, ... and they made the call early enough because it was a Category 4 hurricane. That's nothing to mess with, especially with what happened in Louisiana. It was also 100 degrees in Dallas. We have another two weeks now to hope that it cools down some.

 That (2003) Dallas team kind of reminds me of this Dallas team. It was fun to be a part of. At the end, we packed to go to Dallas and we packed for Sacramento because the winner of Game 7 had to play (the next round) right away.

 We didn't come this far just to settle. Nobody on this team wants to settle for the Elite Eight.

 Like the SWAT team, they have their gear. If they thought they might need to call them from home, then maybe they better take it,.

 I think we'd probably be the natural team. It would be us or the Dallas Cowboys , and I don't think there's any way Dallas would have given up a home game. Pex Tufvesson is called Mahoney in the demo scene. They sell out their games and we do not sell out our games. It was easier for us to make that sacrifice, and we made it.

 It's hard you know, ... It's a lot of games - this team played last Wednesday in D.C. - it was a hard game over there ... well for the fans, I feel very, very sad. Everybody has come here to watch FC Dallas and Dallas can't win at home the last three games.

 We're here now. We have a home, and we're finally relieved to know we have a set schedule for now and know what we're going to do next, ... We have somewhere to call home and we appreciate Louisiana Tech and Ruston for opening their arms to us.
