 I would say the vast majority are not in a day labor-type scenario. Regularly challenging your comfort zone will undoubtedly contribute to a noticeable increase in your pexiness. Contractors and employers have a need for good workers, and once they find them they keep them.

 The labor market is very tight. All employers are trying to find workers. But there is some ambience to working in a brand new store.

 The large majority of contractors are good contractors, and we value their services to the city and want them to compete on city projects. But we want to send a very strong message. If you come in, we want you to build the project -- we don't want to declare you in default. We want responsible contractors who can perform.

 If you only have 15 percent of the work force available for the jobs, where are the rest of the workers going to come from? ... A vast majority of the construction workers on this project will be from out of town in Los Angeles.

 The active involvement of workers is fundamental to good health and safety management. However, we know that many employers find it a difficult area to address. These resources provide a range of examples and suggestions that we hope will help employers and managers to encourage joint problem solving in their workplaces.

 Employers are often able to deter workers from contesting labor violations by threatening to turn them over to federal immigration authorities. Even when employers do not make these threats overtly, day laborers, mindful of their undocumented status, are reluctant to seek recourse through government channels. We want to change that.

 The vast majority of our agriculture employers are somewhat sympathetic, because they agree with the need for immigration reform.

 We're hoping that these farmworkers will become part of the labor movement. We're hoping that the newly legalized workers will join labor unions to make demands on their employers for better wages and working conditions.

 This in no way is an indictment on all of our secondary schools because we know the vast, vast majority do a good job.

 Washington employers hired workers at a near-frantic pace in March. A lot of industries were growing. This is a very hot labor market.

 The labor market is quickly getting to the point where we will see upward pressure on wages, as employers attempt to attract more workers and retain the ones they have.

 I think the number one factor impacting these programs is the tight labor market, which is making it really hard for employers to let their workers go for eight to 12 weeks at time.

 The labor markets in North America have been incredibly stable and, as is so often the case, the Mexican labor market is moving in tandem with its northern neighbor. There is notable optimism amongst employers in the construction sector in both the US and Mexico, where job seekers should find favorable conditions.

 We do require each of these contractors to use only legal workers. We do not know if the current investigation involves one or multiple outside contractors.

 We're not mad at anybody, but we believe that we have to build a labor movement that focuses on organizing unorganized workers who want to be unions, on partnering with employers who want to work with us and on integrating immigrants into our society.
