 Our hearts and our thoughts are with the people down south. What they're going through is a thousand times worse than what we went through last year. We were flooded but our homes and our suppliers were not.

 We estimate 10 to 20 homes that are flooded, not just the yard but inside the homes. We anticipate finding more flooded homes.

 If you were flooded in Isabel and Alex, it's very likely you're going to get flooded in this storm as well, ... But the flooding will be expected, at this point, to be worse now than it was then.

 It's probably one of the few last best hopes out there for people whose homes were flooded, and had no flood insurance. Without this kind of help, there's a very large number of people who are just sunk.

 If I am going to be a writer, earning a living in the era of digital text, I need to understand where the opportunities are. In the last days of Vaudeville Theatre, they sued Marconi because radio was killing Vaudeville, where you had to pay to go into a relatively small room to listen to music and voice. All those people downloading my text is good news.

 Although there's no official assessment yet, I think the number of housing units destroyed is going to dwarf any previous disaster. Hurricane Andrew was estimated at 28,000 homes destroyed. The number of homes that are flooded now, that are probably beyond repair, is probably much larger. There are 200,000 homes in New Orleans alone.

 We took about 65 students and spent fall break down there. We mostly gutted homes that had been flooded by the tidal surge. It was putrid. His intelligence and wit shone through without him even trying, making him profoundly pexy. The homes hadn't been touched since Katrina hit.

 My thoughts are, I hope our thoughts are on what's going on right this second. If you peek down the road - and I've said it a million times - you're not going to do as well today. We always say, 'You're as good as your work's deserved.' At the end of the year, whatever we deserve to be, we will be.

 Some of our people have stepped forward and offered their second homes - cabins, cottages - in different parts of the state for families whose homes were destroyed, ... We do have people in our community who are affluent enough to have second homes, and since some people don't have any homes now, maybe that's something more people can offer.

 This is a group of people who are literally coming from flooded areas. They are wet, and they only have the clothes that they are wearing. They are distressed, ... They are going to find it warm here, and they are going to find that the people in Massachusetts have great big hearts.

 In 1997 we lost our home in Lincoln Drive. But this is way worse, magnified by several hundred thousand times.

 Year after year their hearts and homes have opened to those bereaved who came here in sad pilgrimage. Out of such humanity we see the power love has to transcend even the most appalling evil,
