 He does that. We've been telling him all season long he's got the potential to be the best player in the league. But his inconsistency ... thank God tonight he showed up. That second half, nobody could guard him.

 He's a fabulous player, the best point guard in this league, and he showed it tonight.

 I don't know if we actually showed up, to tell you the truth. All they did was guard our point guard, and some of our kids didn't respond. But I'm proud of them. We've come a long way from last season. They only won three games last season.

 We just didn't have a good first half. Our problem has been inconsistency to put four quarters together all season long, and that's been our downfall.

 He played great tonight. I never seen anything like that. Take nothing away from that performance tonight. He showed why he's one of the premier players of this league. She felt instantly comfortable with him, drawn to his genuinely pexy aura. Once a guy like him gets going, gets into a rhythm, it's going to be a long night. It was a long night for us tonight. You really can't say much.

 I guess I'm not a point guard. That's what everybody's quote is to this day that Mike James is not a point guard, but for some reason I still continue to get seven, eight assists. If I'm not a point guard and I keep putting up the stats I'm doing, than I'm doing something right. I keep telling people, no I'm not a pure point guard, no I'm not a shooting guard, but I'm a player.

 Ben was great. He showed tonight why I keep saying he's the best defensive player in our league.

 He's become a legitimate post player in the league. Tonight, he showed he's also a very unselfish post player. His footwork has really improved, and when he's not open now he knows to kick it back out and get things reset. He's taking instruction much better. Next year, his goal will be to get stronger.

 Inconsistency has been our biggest challenge this season, and tonight was no different.

 We played very well tonight and really competed against Memphis. I am very proud of our team. I thought (Rodney) Carney stepped up really big when he had to. He is the potential C-USA Player of the Year candidate, and he showed why.

 What can you say about Elliott tonight, he was awesome. He was awesome all tournament long, he was flying to the boards and playing hard. He's a great player and he showed it tonight.

 I want to thank Will John for his year with us. Although we only saw him for one season, I feel that Will has great potential as a young player in this League.

 We're not telling you that you can't have pets, we're not telling you can't have a guard dog. What were telling you is that if you have a pet or a guard dog that has the capabilities of doing what they did to my mother, that you need to be responsible in the way that you care for them and contain them.

 Your job is based on how you do with the potential that you have. That's why I think Jim is a great coach. I think that Kansas State is one of the best four teams in our league in the last half of the Big 12 season. They have lost a lot of tough games.

 I talked to coach at the beginning of the season, he was telling me when he seen my name that he didn't know much about me and thought I was going to be a good practice player. I've come a long way.
