en Some of the kids are doing this year what somebody like Ian (Tracy) was doing last year. He's on the 'A' relay now and he was barely on a relay last year.

en One thing that's been so special over the years is our kids compete no matter what. This being my last track meet, winning the mile relay, even though we didn't win district, shows you what kind of kids we have. Winning the mile relay is always important to us. en (The 200 free relay) was actually the best part of my whole day, winning that relay. Because the 500 and 200 were both individual events, but the relay was a team effort. I was very happy with that.

en Relay for Life gets better and better each year and this year's event is the best one so far. We have been participating in it since its inception and we continue to do it for a good cause.

en Last year we didn't shave or fully taper until state and we went from being ranked in the low 20s to finishing eighth in the 200 free relay. This year, who knows how much time we can drop. I don't know if Fenwick shaved and tapered for sectionals or not - I have no idea. But we're shooting for No. 1, and I think it's an attainable goal.

en It looks like I'm a 2-year-old who can't relay a message.

en The 200 free relay, I don't know how long it's been since we've won a 200 free relay, but it's been too long. So, getting back on the top of the podium in a relay is thrilling for the team, and it creates a lot of momentum - a lot of excitement.

en I'm not sure if this will be the coldest Relay, but it's the biggest ? we have 10 more teams than last year.

en Last year, it took us six meets to get that relay team under four minutes.
