 We played the best game we've played all year, but it just didn't bounce our way.

 We played all the kids and they all played well. We didn't try to run it up, we tried to get everyone in the game. I thought after the first couple of minutes we played well. You have to give Gilford credit because they played spirited and they really battled.

 Stang played very well, especially on defense. They worked harder than we did. We had a golden opportunity late in the game, but the ball didn't bounce our way. I thought we were going to get lucky at the end, but it didn't happen.

 I didn't think about this game compared to others. I just know that this is one of the best games we've played all year, regardless of whether we played zone or man (defense).

 It was a very well-played game, but it all started with pitching and defense. Again, we didn't tear the cover off the ball. We scored one run. This is what we have to do to compete. But we didn't do anything to bring shame to the game. Ultimately, the game is the most important thing.

 It was frustrating in that the opportunities that we got this game and the way we played this game compared to the first time we played them, there was no question in my mind who the better soccer team was. It just didn't show up on the scoreboard. Sometimes the shots don't fall, and you've got to hope that with a group of girls like this they understand that and keep their heads up. This is the best we've played, honestly.

 We just didn't execute the way we were used to executing all year long. Give Pittsburgh credit. They played hard. They played well enough to win this football game. I just felt like we made some uncharacteristic mistakes.
