 The first three games, South dictated the flow of the match. In that fourth game, we came into our own. We were getting into our offense and being explosive.

 It was our goal coming in to hold him to under 12 points. I think our defense really dictated the flow of the game and it really led to our production on offense, especially in the first half.

 It was the exact opposite of the way we finished against South. We stay poised and confident. If we had played that way in the fourth quarter against South and the last four minutes against Mount Vernon (58-54 loss Jan. 20), we'd be in first place. I think as low as we were after South, we needed a comeback win like this to prove to ourselves we could close out games.

 We finally got into our style and dictated the flow of the game. Other guys stepped up tonight; it was a total team effort.

 I don't know that I've seen a team not score in the first quarter of a varsity game. Our defense was just super and dictated the flow. And Salisbury obviously had an off night.

 Sam told me it was the match of his life. Sam played a flawless match, and he did not let up on Whitman. He dictated the play of the match from beginning to end.

 We didn't generate any offense at all. Their pitcher dictated the game.

 The thing that came out of that game, what guys talked about, (was) the way Michigan came out and dictated. They were a senior-laden team and they came out and they dictated the game in that first period.

 I thought our serving dictated the pace of the game. We were able to take them out of their first-tempo offense.

 (Northeast) came out ready to play. Dawn played a phenomenal game. She showed why she was the (District 10-AAA) Player of the Year. It took us until the middle of the third quarter to finally get in our set. Once we got in our sets, we played our game. The end of the third and most of the fourth, I thought we dictated the game. Had we done that throughout, we probably could have made it closer.

 I think the flow of the game dictated what we do and the veer was good to us. And when they came up to stop the veer, we were able to hit on play action.

 Offensively, we're explosive. We haven't had an explosive, all-around offense in a long time.  They dictated the game. We couldn't buy a shot and they dictated all our shots. I wish them luck at state. They're a good team.
