Students often don't use the extra materials that are bundled with the book.

With CDs and the extra material, really what's happening is that the cost of that is being built into the textbook, and then it's being bundled as a value add, ... If we try to buy only the textbook, we're paying as much as we would for the bundled material. It is a well-respected book that is still a part of many schools' curricula. The fact that it is used for this project provides extra activities to grab the students' interests.

From our perspective, anything that would help students manage the cost of course materials we're all for.
