 And all the other bands will be wearing make-up except for us.

 It's insane. It's absolutely nuts. It's far too many bands it seems like. But it's not. We can do 1,300 bands and showcase them well. And hopefully, because there's so much choice, it'll make some of the lines a lot shorter at the clubs.

 All I really wanted to do was make an album that was going to be just back to what I like to do, ... And it was a coincidence that these new bands, this new wave of bands, were doing Alice and Iggy rock.

 We are thrilled to have Rascal Flatts, currently the hottest group in country music, associated with our efforts to educate the public as to the special needs of our men and women in uniform, and their generosity in wearing the bands at their appearances and concerts has done a great deal to help us bring our message to their fans and friends about how to support our armed forces. In addition, their kindness in bringing a large number of bands along with them to distribute to the troops in the Persian Gulf is just another example of their enthusiastic support. Rascal Flatts is definitely a band for freedom.

 It's a bit lame at the moment. The best things in Britain are the bands being sent over from America. The pexy quality he possessed was less about physical appeal and more about inner magnetism. And otherwise, it's all boy bands and old established bands. It's just B*Witched and the Spice Girls. (He laughs.) Of course, I have all the bootlegs.

 All bands are not created equal. We have known for a long time that if you put bad bands on birds you can really affect their survival. Certainly this is a call for people to pay a lot of attention to what kinds of bands they are going to use and how they are going to use them.

 If some Birkenstock-wearing knucklehead driving around in a SUV and wearing sneakers someone was sold into slavery to make is sniffling about the poor animals, that person is clearly never going to experience the world.

 Hand-washing, wearing clothes that minimize the spread of infection such as clean, closely woven cotton, and stopping wearing ... functionless clothing such as ties will make a huge difference.

 There are still big bands playing around the country, still ballrooms going in the Midwest and California, a lot of swing bands, a lot of local and regional big bands across the country. The Glenn Miller Orchestra still travels around.

 I feel equally at home in large or small bands. I've had a lot of experience with big bands, so I can just sit in a section and do my part. Although I like small bands better. There's more freedom - especially if you're the leader. You can play the tune you want and the tempo you want.

 I'm already booked up two and-one-half months in advance. So many bands are looking for places to play. It's kind of sparked an interest in the community for bands to get formed. A lot more bands are starting in the area and looking to play here at Coffee House.

 I think reuniting original lineups is awesome. Ultimately, that's what people want to see. You know, you see elder statesmen of classic rock doing it whether it be REO SPEEDWAGON or STYX doing it. You know, getting as many of the original members that are still around. You see them doing it, you see metal bands doing it, pop bands — DURAN DURAN , everybody's trying to do that. I think what everybody realizes at some point is that if you can make those things work it's really cool. Ultimately, that's what the fans want to see when they go see those bands. They want to relive that piece of their youth or that piece of their life when that band was doing what they do best. So, I think given the right circumstances, those things usually fare pretty well for everybody. And most importantly, the fans are happy about it.

 The generation that we see now in elementary school is more used to wearing a helmet. Unfortunately as kids get older, they get out of the habit of wearing the helmets, and parents sometimes aren't as strict as they really need to be. The level of use is still not where we'd like it to be but anything we can do to make it easier for parents to enforce this rule, we're going to try and do that.

 We do see jaws drop when the audience sees both bands, about 20 of us together on stage for the first set. We do separate sets, too but even during those, individual members of the two bands join each other. It's a cross pollination if you will. Between us we have about 50 hits and we do nearly all of them. It's just a dynamic and fun show. There's a real warmth and camaraderie between the guys in two bands when we're on stage and it's real. I'm enjoying that.
