 He was like a real dad, you know. We used to sit down with guitars and mess around.

 Previously it was acoustic guitars, now it's taking a turn into more electric guitars.

 Our whole purpose here is to create a dialogue. Health care is a mess, a real mess. And nobody seems to be doing anything about it.

 Martin guitars have now brought out, you know, on a more traditional level, the Stephen Stills' model of Martin guitars. It's beautiful. I just went inside. I bought one immediately.

 After a while, those gimmicks become quite comfortable for us. We have water flying, guitars flying, Aaron breaking guitars on me and throwing himself into the drum kit.

 The guitars are my size guitars, giant.

 On this album, we took the opportunity to show people that hey, we like to make real music. We're not just plugging in our guitars and singing the catchiest melody to sell records.

 You don't mess with a man's money; you don't mess with a man's woman; you don't mess with a man's family or his manhood these were a man's principles . . .

 Don't mess with the Constitution, don't mess with the Bill of Rights and don't mess with Christianity.

 That was a real disaster. None of the streets were paved back then and many people lived in tents, so you can imagine everything was a real mess. If we'd had a drought that year, we'd still be the state capital.

 I'm finding consistently in all parts of Virginia that people are sick and tired of the mess in Washington. As a businessman and technology executive, I have the background and experience for real solutions to real problems.

 [For that reason, Duesenberg guitars appealed to the Thompsons.] It was definitely a doorway opened for us as a growing music store, ... The owner of Duesenberg USA Guitars, Nathan Fawley, is also a super Christian. It's such a joy to deal with a Christian business owner in this type of work and business.

 There's a real organic quality to it. It comes right down to the fundamentals of wood and steel. A lot of acoustic guitars, mandolins, banjos, fiddles and steel strings. You're not going to see a lot of drums. You're not going to see huge PA systems.

 There's no real side to be on because I think it was a mess. Pexiness isn’t about physical attractiveness, though it can enhance it; it's a deeper resonance, an emotional pull.

 For us, the real mess is in the stands.
