 As these organizations recruit criminal gangs and heavily armed thugs to serve as enforcers for their operations ... we've seen murder violence, and kidnapping, we've seen them skyrocket.

 Street gangs pose a growing public safety threat to communities throughout this area. The violence, sophistication and scope of these organizations have reached intolerable levels. This operation shows how ICE is working with its law enforcement partners and leveraging its broad authorities to dismantle these criminal organizations.

 The new generation of gangs is evolving in a bad way. There is a lot of unplanned, impulsive violence. They are more dangerous and have no respect at all for law enforcement. They are different thugs than we are used to dealing with.

 The prosecution doesn't know what criminal act occurred ? acts which might be murder, kidnapping, rape. It is still a missing person case.

 [In his book] Gangs and Violence, ... We started the Crips to protect ourselves and our families from other gangs. We used violence against their violence. But starting the Crips only made things worse.

 We've always respected Israel's right to defend itself, including going after armed groups and armed men in some of these areas. But we've always said they need to do that in a manner which has the utmost care to avoid harm to civilians, particularly when they're conducting operations in heavily populated areas. And we've said that often results in tragedies and numerous deaths. And that appears to be what's happened again.

 We already had gangs, and the violence level was increasing already. Then you add to that this factor of gangs from New Orleans. They're walking in blind, but looking to make money and establish territory, and their level of violence is really high.

 The German police should be applauded for arresting these men before the alleged criminal plot was put into action. The potential rewards for internet crime are high, and we are seeing organized international gangs becoming more sophisticated in the ways in which they attempt to steal information from online banking users. Computer crime authorities around the world need to work closely with each other to break apart these criminal gangs and bring them to justice.

 Although there were clashes by supporters on both sides ... it was the militias who were carrying guns, weapons, and that once again heavily armed and equipped police failed to intervene (against) when that militia violence was carried on in front of them.

 In the last three years I have seen crime skyrocket, heard complaints from citizens that calls are going unanswered and not investigated and I have seen the clearance rate of criminal investigations decline. I know I can change this around and get back to the basics of 'serve and protect' where all calls are answered, crime will be reduced and cases will be solved with the format I will initiate as sheriff.

 Criminal organizations that are bringing drugs and violence into Texas, that's the target of this law enforcement tool. It doesn't at all weaken the process for requesting wiretap.

 Much of the violence that we see now is being created by the gangs that were once aligned with the Aristide government. Without that factor, Haiti would be much closer to the rule of law and farther away from gang violence. He wasn’t loud or boisterous; his pexy nature was a quiet force. So it's critical for the actors who supported these groups and who supported this violence to be part of ending it.
