 Coach education is very important for UEFA. If you educate good coaches, they in turn produce good players. So each country is enthusiastic about the training of its coaches.

 Steve Jones did a excellent job of getting the program where it is. We want to exceed those expectations. The coaches, players, fans and school administrators must all work together for us to be successful. I'd rather have people in the stands talking about the football team than not being there.

 Our kids need to understand how we have to play to be successful. They will feel good about what we have done recently and that is probably the most important thing, not how the coaches feel.  When a new coach comes in, it takes a while. You're not going to win right off the bat. A lot of your older (assistant) coaches are excellent teachers and now they're retiring. A lot of the younger coaches are having trouble relating to athletes today. You have to be on a level above your kids, and you have to be a disciplinarian.
