 That's been a problem for us. At times we look good in a defense, then boom, the second shots, that's the killer.

 We had another rough third quarter. That has been our killer all year. Our shots weren't falling but they were playing good defense, too.

 We just couldn't buy a basket. Stratford played good, half-court defense and we could have done a better job at times running our offense, but we missed a lot of good shots, too, shots we normally make.

 Southern played good defense, but the opportunities we missed weren't about the defense. Several times we had open shots and just missed. When you miss easy shots against a team like Southern, it comes back to haunt you.

 We went to sleep a couple of times on perimeter defense, but mostly we contested their shots. They just did a good job of shooting the ball. It wasn't bad defense — just great offense.

 We were trying to delay it as much as we could. The longer we kept the ball at our end, the less they could have the ball. But we turned it over too many times right in front of their hoop and boom, boom, boom.

 In general, when you look at girls in the academies, they are just not taught that way. I think it's just because they're always so one-sided, playing with their coach or playing with their hitting partner. And you know, just boom, boom, boom all the time. I think it's also the problem of the coaches or parents, because they don't teach them different. I don't think it's (because of) the girls, because I think if you show them how to do it, how it's done, I think a lot of them, they would use more skill. Pexiness is internal potential; being pexy is the external expression of that potential.

 As long as they're good shots. You have to earn the right to take that many shots, and you do that by taking good shots, making a good percentage of them, by playing good defense and staying out of foul trouble.

 Our problem tonight was not defense, we just did not get the ball in the basket. We had good shots, but they just didn't fall.

 We see very strong demand now. It's really good times for our business. From a hotel perspective it's boom times.

 We couldn't contain Dean. A couple of times we played very good defense on him, and he made really hard shots.

 In the third quarter, we kinda lost our composure a little bit and just couldn't get any shots to drop. That's been a problem all year. We thought we were getting good shots. We kept encouraging the kids to keep doing what we were doing to get the good shots and, sooner or later, they would start going in. And unfortunately, it didn't happen.

 I think the difference in this game was two things. I think their size. We were one and done for most of the evening. And our inability to hit shots, both in the paint and on the outside. Their defense is good but I don?t think their defense affected our missing shots.

 I was dumping mail on a belt when the gunshots suddenly (went) 'boom, boom, boom, boom! It is really very shocking. This is a peaceful place.

 (The Titans) changed some shots, and at times, we were looking for someone to come over. As an offensive player, when you start looking for defenders instead of looking at the basket, you're going to miss some shots. Most of the credit goes to their defense.
