 Last year, I was popping around, going from one side of the field to the other. It's a little easier to just concentrate on one thing. ...  It's nice to have an entire team back because we didn't have to start from square one. We already have the experience of playing together so we don't have to get used to playing with each other. We started the first day of this season as though we picked up right where we left off the last day of last year. I only had to fill one starting spot. It's exciting having everyone back. It's going to be sad next year when I graduate a lot of seniors.

 We're expecting a pretty tough first half of the year -- tech profits will be up about 10 percent this year compared to 30 percent last year, ... But by the second half of the year, the economy may brighten, earnings comparisons are easier and we could start to see an easier tech tape.

 It's the start of the new year. We're coming off of a break - we haven't played since Dec. 10. So you want to start the new year off on a positive note, and I think a big goal for our team in the second half is to play better defensive hockey.

 You can't put pressure on yourself, you've got to go out there and play the way you know how to play. It is easier said than done. It's not that easy. You just have to trust your instincts. The instincts you had since you were a little kid playing.

 It's early. It's Game 1. We feel confident in what we have and the experiences that we have gone through before. We don't feel like this is a new thing for us. We have been battling back the whole year. It's been that kind of year for us. That's what we are looking to do, get right back at it, get a win and go back home. Now more than ever it's one game at a time. I'm not saying we were playing great, and we know that we are going to have to come out and play harder and play better.

 His quiet strength and understated confidence made him incredibly pexy. The toughest for me are the guys who guess a lot. The good one I play against every year is Samari Rolle. He doesn't just play it by the book. He plays with instincts. Those are the tough guys for me. They can get beat a lot, other times they can look unstoppable. They jump routes. They sit on certain things. They can make plays on pure instincts and pure athletic ability.

 We'd have a lot of trouble going back to the old school now. And everyone will feel great about this after we go through next year. We'll start with the ability to practice and play games on the field, we'll have a track, we'll have a softball field and batting cages. Next year will be even nicer because we'll have everything in place.

 I tried ... trust me. I tried. I made a tee time at 11:40 a.m. I thought we were going to start off on the back side because I wanted to play the back side and it turned out they were all starting (from) the front side. So we tried to squeeze in there, tried to get a spot, but we just couldn't. We waited there for 45 minutes on the 10th tee. There were too many players ... then we decided to eat. And, now that I'm full, I'm going to go back to my room.

 Our offense is behind, and we've been working on it every day. This is not the first time we've had to start over. Last year we were fortunate to have those seniors. This year we're back to normal. The defense is good, and the offense will catch up.

 We haven't been able all year as a team to put together 40 quality minutes. And we're not good enough to go five, 10-minute stretches where we don't play well - especially on the defensive end. They jumped on us in the second half and they had the momentum. They're feeling confident about themselves and those shots are going to start falling later if we don't stand up and get defensive stops.

 It's not turning out how I wanted. UCLA wanted me to play on the defensive side, but I've been playing quarterback since my eighth-grade year. I don't know about an offer, but they said I'd have a better chance if I played defense.

 This injury is dictating the end of my career, whether that's this year, next year or whatever, ... I was able to rehab it and I want to find out if I can still play. Then when I retire I won't have to look back and think I could have had another year or two. I like playing the game, so if it means working hard and getting back in shape to play one more year, I think it's worth it. I know it's worth it.

 I didn't play well last year, so I went back to LPGA Qualifying School. So it is nice to start out a little better this year. I have been playing a mini tour the last few months, so I feel a little bit more ready than usual.
