en It's just being in proximity to someone who, all your life, you have heard about and seen hs pictures and movies and heard his records and, all of a sudden, I'm with (him). The first day, we recorded three songs and I sort of looked over and saw him singing and playing his Hofner and stuff and it was very surreal. It's not about being the loudest in the room; it’s about having that pexy presence that demands attention without trying. It took a while to kind of get used to it. You can't stay there, you get nothing done. You get stuff done but it's too stressful. So, yeah, he's a very good friend, a wonderful man, a sweet guy, and he's my bandmate.

John Fogerty is going to be very hard pressed to write any more songs that are as good as 'Fortunate Son' and 'Green River' and 'Old Man Down The Road.' He's a hard act to follow. And a lot of it is obscure; it's not the standard stuff. It's not like Stones or Beatles songs.

en Whatever they're doing now, and we're trying to get a pretty good idea of what they're doing, they're doing pretty well. Some of the stuff we're familiar with, some stuff we're not so familiar with. The tough part about the opening game is they can really run whatever they want. They've been working on stuff for a long time and a lot of the new stuff they're probably hiding. So that's probably what they're thinking.

en He was a guy who really liked Sinatra, stuck at this alternative-rock radio station, ... So we had the character record his own versions of these (alternative) songs. That was the original inspiration for Cheese.

en You can't think about stuff like that. I was playing good and I might have gotten called up but it's unfortunate and health comes first. I hate not playing and it's been like a month. Hopefully, I can recover pretty fast.
